Our wonderful Tuxedo Charlie...he died in May 2023... amazing fellow...truly the best ..❤️🏅❤️.( photo June2020 watching the street from his fire escape window )
This was Violet, she died this Christmas at 23...she slept by head for many years, I miss her so much.( photo Dec. 2020)
#SubwayPhotos Dec 2020 Union Square, very empty platform, very talented musician...playing " At Last" ...hauntingly beautiful and poignant.
#SubwayPhotos #nyc Dec.2020 we all masked to take care of each other ...
#SubwayArt December 2020...pretty profound...even now. ( aug 2026) #nyc
10/ I post a lot of subway photos because I feel it is the lifeblood, the heart of #nyc ( especially I share photos of the artists singing or trying to heal a piece of us) ( summer 2019 ,"Rob" / Grand Central shuttle)
8/ and I post food photos, not because I think I can cook, but because I have gut damage from LC, so I get very excited when I make a soothing ugly soup ( tumeric curry sweet potato soup ) ☺️( Chester brought me his taco while I was eating...very funny actually 😂)
7/ I also post about small joys like rescuing birds and taking them to the Bird Hospital in Manhattan because ....even broken birds deserve good care.
6/ I post random things you don't expect or think about. I also share art from #nyc because it is what comes from the heart of nyc, that includes subway singers and grafetti art.
5/ I live in a battered decrepit pre war kind of crumbling brick short Brooklyn Apt building. My favorite "neighbor" is the Tree "Bailey" that lives next to my fire escape. I have watered him, nurtured him for 15 years. ( fought city twice to not cut him down too) So I guess I am a treehugger ?🤔
3/ I work in all of nyc as a street nurse ( ok, truthfully 4 of 5 boroughs) I live in 299 sqft brooklyn prewar walkup with my son. I post photos of my battered apt, our cat Chester, and food I have not burned
So If you want to follow me🤔I am a mom, nurse & a grumpy tired nurse, less than hopeful, compassion spreading foulmouthed, bitter, kindness matters still kind of buddhist,a confusing cook,an aspiring grafetti artist & gardener #nycstreetnurse #NYC #Brooklyn
This is #Chester, he is 3 now, rescued by a sister nurse at 10 days old from an alley in Yonkers living now in the #BrooklynShoebox 🧡😽🧡
ok...I have to follow back..your cat is stunning ..meet Chester...
HappybThanksgiving...if you are out there ..please wave or holler at me ...sending much Love ❤️❤️❤️
