I don’t disagree, but they aren’t really car sewers. A handful of beaches allow it, but the vast majority of Oregon’s coastline is pristine nature, free of nearly any sign of humans. I rode my bike the length of it a few years back.
The 500km of beaches in Oregon are designated a state highway, so everyone is free to use them. Most don’t have easy vehicle access, so you’ll only see this at a few. We also have hundreds of rivers and lakes closer to the cities, so there’s no lack of places to relax. Most beaches are empty:
