The Digestive Organs...sneaky peak!! Not sure how to digitally transfer at the moment as the films are all on celluloid but you get a rough idea from this. Sorry about the poor quality. The pixelation is because I'm holding it up in front of a monitor. Love those 60s illustrations though.
Beautiful find of the day. Awesome collection of 1960s (I think) medical films all produced by the Rank Organisation. The films, from what I can see, all look amazing i.e., gorgeously retro and kitsch. Also love having the little metal canisters with original Rank logo on them.

Pulpy crime pick up from Emsworth’s Magic free book shop Telephone box yesterday. Love the sleazy James Bond inspired cover on this one. Have to admit the title is kind of giving me Alan Partridge vibes too.
Got me beat with those transfers. What absolute beauties. I’m still the proud owner of a genuine Maximilian Yo-Yo though. I absolutely adore the movie but I’ve genuinely no idea why I’ve always kept this.

Picked this beauty up yesterday in a local bookshop. This is the 1st UK edition of Robin Hardy and Anthony Shaffer’s 1979 novelisation of The Wicker Man. This is definitely the best pick up I’ve had in quite a while. Absolutely love the cover on this one. #booksky #folkhorror #thewickerman

Reading the incredible ‘My Favourite Thing Is Monsters’ by Emil Ferris at the moment. It’s a great book with a great storyline & every page is literally filled with illustrations that literally take your breath away. It’s a few years old now but I’ve been absolutely blown away by it. #booksky
Found this the other day. Made me chuckle. Me, Christmas Day, 1977!! The Hulk punch bag, Action Man helicopter, Doctor Who (Tom Baker) doll & Remus Dinosaur sets were all beauts!! Wish I still had them. Can anyone remember the Devil Riders game though? I can recall the cover art and that’s about it.
Nice TV tie-in book pick up the other day sending my mind scurrying back to the Christmas of my childhood. Loved the Phoenix and the Carpet at the time however for some reason, over the years, my old brain has blurred this series with The Feathered Serpent which aired the same year. #booksky
Love this. My first thought was that this was a photo of some weird but incredible brutalist structure, but NO! It's actually a photo of the back end of what was the King Alfred Leisure Centre in Hove before the curly-wurly water slides were taken away. Looks beautiful & horrifying in equal measure.

Hope you don’t mind the reply, Harsha. Just wondered if you’d seen Westbourne magazine this month? I went to 2 of the public consultation meetings & signed the petition. Sadly the surgery was allegedly sold off way back in 2024 to a company owned by 2 doctors at Emsworth. I’m totally dumbfounded.
