The NTP is confirming at least one tornado at Rocky Mountain House, AB earlier today, and reports of some damage are coming in. The NHP/NTP survey team at Olds, AB will investigate tomorrow. Addition damage reports can be sent to ntp @ uwo . ca or via our website at uwo.ca/ntp #ABstorm
Based on photo and video evidence supported by radar, the NTP is confirming a tornado south of Robb, AB – west of Edmonton – at around 5 pm MDT today. We’ll wait to see if any damage reports turn up before assigning a preliminary rating. #ABstorm

The NTP has confirmed an EF3 tornado in eastern AB at Tulliby Lake on July 11. An NTP damage survey team documented significant damage, including a destroyed house (unoccupied), a thrown RV, and areas with every tree snapped or uprooted. Details at the NTP blog: uwo.ca/ntp/blog/202... #ABstorm
The NTP has confirmed an EF2 tornado in QC, about 250 km NW of Montreal, on July 1. The tornado left a large forest scar clearly visible in satellite imagery. The tree damage warranted an EF2 rating with the estimated maximum wind speed being 215 km/h. Full details: uwo.ca/ntp/blog/202... #meteoQC

The NTP is confirming a tornado that occurred in the Whyte Ridge area of Winnipeg, MB last evening. A damage survey found a very narrow path of damage, with a preliminary EF1 rating assigned. Damage included roof damage to houses and multiple trees uprooted / snapped. More details to come. #MBstorm
Based on the results of an NTP damage survey and analysis of radar and photos, the NTP has confirmed an EF1 tornado near Lakefield, QC on June 18. The tornado mainly caused damage to trees and no injuries were reported. Full details here: uwo.ca/ntp/blog/202... #meteoQC
The NTP has confirmed an EF1 tornado at Glencoe in SW Ontario on June 25. This supercell tornado had a path length nearly 10 km long and caused damage mainly to barns, trailers, and trees. Note that this is an upgrade from the preliminary EF0 rating. Full details: uwo.ca/ntp/blog/202... #ONstorm
The NTP has confirmed a tornado that occurred in southern New Brunswick yesterday. Video shows the tornado lofting debris as it moved over a wooded area. A preliminary rating of EF0 has been assigned. More details will be made available after further investigation. #NBstorm
