Afon Teifi at Henllan this morning. This is the lowest I've ever seen the river. The fallen tree washed there by a flood is a good 3 metres above the current level.
Out of curiosity I maxed out a Mac Studio spec to see what it would cost. More than £14,000! And I'd have to wait 3 months for it. Not enough time to save up 14 grand, though. Optional accessories? Studio Display £1,499, Magic Keyboard £199. Magic Mouse £99.
This is interesting — I recently took a DNA test, mostly to explore possible causes of chronic fatigue syndrome. I also discovered I have 7% DNA from south Wales. I hadn’t been aware of any Welsh ancestry. Coincidentally, I now live in that light brown region.
3D printed notebook cover for two small Moleskine Cahier notebooks. I used a length of filament as a hinge pin. Notebooks held in place by 1mm round elastic.
I subscribed to Disney plus to watch Alien Earth which turned out to be awful. Quickly gave up on that & watching the excellent Green Wing instead. Just noticed a very young looking John Oliver playing a car salesman in episode 1.

Strata Florida Abbey ruins, mid Wales. This was a Cistercian abbey founded in 1164 and dissolved in 1539. As was common with dissolved monasteries, after its abandonment it was used as a quarry for building materials for nearby farmhouses & farm buildings.
Anyone wanna have a go at pronouncing this village name? Spotted on my way to Strata Florida Abbey which is nearby.
Going back through old photos I thought I'd lost. This is a slip cast porcelain vessel I made at art college in 2005. I decorated it with copper oxide slip by painting the inside of the mould before casting, so this was decorated before it was made. Reduction fired to around 1300°C in gas kiln.

LIDL’s ‘Cheese Curls’ packing machine went off on one. That’s the contents of a single packet. At least 3x as many curls as a normal packet. I couldn’t finish them all.

My downstairs neighbour's dog barking has been frequent & loud, leading to multiple autistic meltdowns. I am back on the council's housing list asking to be housed away from this fucking c*nt of a neighbour. I tried one of these anti barking machines. No effect whatsoever. 1/2
