#365DaysInOakland&On #MemorialDay2026 I usually mark the day by remembering all who've gone on -& that's still true. This year I also miss fellow vet Richard Talavera, who died last year.🫡😥💞 He keeps teaching me. I've generally seen this as a Day for those we've lost, not just fallen warriors/1

Today may be too busy (I kinda cringe any day I say I don't have time for nature, but we've got contractors coming!) On Mother's Day we took a stroll with visiting relatives, along Lake Merritt to Oakland's Bonsai Garden. AND it was also 510DAY, so I'm gonna claim at least half-credit for that

You mean this? A map clearly delineating the whole region. Yeah, U.S. media seems to avoid giving us a good sense of geography, instead often just outlining a border, with little to no info offering a larger regional context. Keep us dumb seems to be the motto😒

We like bike ride & a movie -as little family as possible. Xmas Eve we rode bikes across SF, through Golden Gate Park to the Ocean, and back. We even met NAGA!
