New Yorker with a MetroCard collection and a camera Banner by @rachelgeorge
I don't care about the cost of the vet visits. I care about my little friend and how much it stresses her out and wanting her to be happy and comfortable.
Got the Haneda airport exclusive pilot and flight attendant Pikachu plushies on my way out 💙🇯🇵🎌
Office hack: I'm bringing gifts back for the folks covering for me while I'm gone not just out of gratitude but also so they don't ask me to cover for them lest they feel obligated to bring me a gift next time they travel
I've decided I'm bringing this back to NYC with me because it's better than what I currently do which is carry handkerchiefs and I feel like this every time I pull one out to tidy up.
I walked along the Shirakawa River this afternoon and marvelled that a river running through a city could possibly be this clean. Not even litter. Impossible in America.
Also as a person who sweats quite a bit and loves to accessorize, I wish I'd been introduced to the tenugui sooner in life.
Primary early voting in NYC continues through this weekend and voting concludes on Tuesday June 23. GotV NYC! Local elections matter and this primary has reps for Congress, state Assembly, and city council on the ballot- all instrumental roles for making NY great. Better things are possible!
It's EXTREMELY rare for me to find a bag that I find both handsome AND functional and the feeling of my new camera bag bring both is SUBLIME. It has so many pockets! And they're all placed so well! And there are even HIDDEN POCKETS!!!!
Some neighborhoods were eerily quiet. Washington square park was pretty chill for how busy it usually is- there were a lot of skateboarders taking advantage of the space, and Chinatown felt near empty.
Couldn't sit still to watch the game at home tonight, so I went out and got photos of NYC locked in. Tough game tonight, Knicks in 5.
Took some neat photos of an orchard orb weaver spider that found its way into my apartment after confirming it isn't poisonous. I'll reverse the order on that in the future. Maybe.
OCD thing I started doing years ago for trips to new cities: flag and categorize places I want to see, go, and eat in Google maps. Cannot overstate just how useful it is to be able to pull out my phone and quickly find the next thing to see or eat. Tedious for sure, but it really helps
