They have now built "stairs" (diagonal ladders) rising from the ground to the letters they will remove so they can carry letters back down from the lofty perch. The crowd begins chanting "Take it down! Take it down! Take it down!" again.
The camera is now zoomed in to the guys building the scaffold underneath the "T" in "Trump" so you can watch them build before the letters themselves come off. This makes it more stable, and they are bringing up more flooring locally to be able to bring the letters down afterwards.
Livestream says 96,000 people watching now. This name is totally coming down early this morning.
It looks like they might start with the T. The head guy put his arms out, hamming it up a little. The crowd is going wild. "Start with the T!" someone yells from the ground. The noisemakers are going wild. Chanting, yelling, the in-person crowd is ebulliant!
The head guy up at height is obviously figuring out how the next step of the removal will happen, as he looks down to the group to prepare the next step of Operation Remove Trump's Name From The Kennedy Center.
Sustained chants of "Take it down! Take it down! Take it down!" erupt from the crowd as midnight approaches. The central worker takes a call and points at the corners of the structure, obviously working the challenge.
More applause, "Thank you! Thank you! We love you guys!" It feels momentous, like something special is happening in DC tonight.

A car drives by, honking, and the crowd hollers and cheers. The noisemakers go off and the energy builds another notch. The whistles and the murmur is palpable. People are imparting MEANING to this removal.
Modular scaffolding is pretty neat, actually. Now that they are zoomed in, you can really watch them build it. Not the number one issue tonight, I'll grant you, but still very cool.
