July 16th - A Journey with Goddess Today we finally reached the end of term after a gruelling school year and believe me, we are celebrating Today's goddess is Laetitia - Roman goddess of delight, joy, and celebration. She is definitely with us tonight! Artwork by Guglielmo Zocchi.

July 15th - A Journey with Goddess After finding a CHUNK OF THE MOON in the Science Museum, today's goddess is a lunar lady. Kaguya-hime. A Princess of the Moon from Japanese mythology. A celestial being who came to Earth, she was discovered in a bamboo shoot and raised by a childless couple.

July 14th - A Journey with Goddess. Ran - Norse Goddess of the Sea. A powerful and formidable goddess of the wild waters and the dark depths. Using her net, she drags sailors down into her realm. However, many myths also speak of her welcoming drowned sailors into the watery afterlife. #WitchSky

July 13th - A Journey with Goddess. Today I visited The Science Museum and was thrilled to discover an array of Goddesses in the section about medicine and healing. A new Goddess I discovered - Odudua. Yoruban Goddess of the earth, of creation, of life. She brings harmony, community, unity.

Carved ebony statue of the Goddess Odudua. She stands on a metal circle which is on a metal pole. She holds a baby in her arms. Her feet are bare. Her facial expression is quite serious.

An information board in a museum. It says figure of a breast feeding woman, probably Odudua 1890 - 1920. This carved ebony statue may deoict Odudua, an earth Goddess in Yoruba tradition. She wears an amulet necklace and bears the raised patterns of scarification on her face, used to mark life milestones in many west African societies. Figures of mothers holding or suckling children are widespread in the region and act as symbols of fertility, continuity and power.

July 12th - A Journey with Goddess. Damona - Goddess of the Healing Waters. A Gaulish goddess, Damona reigned over healing springs, life-giving waters, and animals such as sheep and cows. Right now the heat is still brutal - we need some of Damona's cool waters right now to quench this summer!

July 12th - A Journey with Goddess Ataksak - Inuit Goddess of Light. She is the benevolent ruler of the sky; Ataksak brings the light of joy and hope to humanity. She is a very important figure in Inuit culture because that part of the world sees little sun for such a large part of the year.

July 10th - A Journey with Goddess. Ārohirohi - the Māori Goddess of shimmering heat and mirages. In Māori mythology, she is a goddess of creation. She created the first woman (named Mārikoriko, which means 'Twilight') from a mirage. Artwork by the talented Thalia Took.

July 9th - A Journey with Goddess. Lalahon - Goddess of the Volcano. An important deity in the Visayan mythology of the Philippines, Lalahon is the guardian of volcanoes, of fire, of the harvest. The heatwave here is now at epic proportions; it feels as though Lalahon is paying us a visit!

July 8th - A Journey with Goddess. Temazcalteci - Mexican Goddess of the Steam Bath. Venerated by healers, her steam rooms were believed to purify body and soul. Right now London is one giant sweltering sauna - here's hoping it's all part of the purification process! #WitchSky

July 7th - A Journey with Goddess Epione - Greek Goddess of the Soothing of Pain. She brings relief from suffering, the easing of pain, a balm for hurt minds. Epione was the wife of the medicine-god Asclepius. Her name is derived from the word ἤπιος (epios) which means gentle, kind, calming.

July 6th - A Journey with Goddess Kohara - Polynesian goddess of tuna. Known as The Mother of all Tuna Fish - she created these fish with a flash of lightning. Fishing is an integral part of Polynesian culture; many of their deities are connected to the life-giving bounty of the ocean. #WitchSky

July 5th - A Journey with Goddess Päivätär is the Finnish Goddess of the sun, of life, of light. She spins the sun's bright rays into radiant cloth (along with her sister Kuutar who weaves the light of the moon). Päivätär is also connected with bees; she is the keeper of the sacred healing honey.

July 4th - A Journey with Goddess. Libertas - Roman Goddess of freedom, independence, liberty. She was originally an abstract concept who was later deified as a goddess. Temples were built in her honour and even coins bore her image. Today we can recognise her in the iconic Statue of Liberty.

July 2nd - A Journey with Goddess Atalanta - Greek heroine and huntress. A mortal woman with extraordinary powers. A devotee of Artemis, an extraordinary hunter, an unparalleled runner. Famously, she outran many suitors who sought her hand in marriage (she also speared any who grew close to her).

July 1st - A Journey with Goddess Iris - Greek goddess of the Rainbow. She embodies the rainbow - the bridge between the heavens and the Earth. Iris is the messenger of the Gods; she can fly to the heights of the sky or dive to the depths of the ocean. Iris reminds us that anything is possible.

June 30th - A Journey with Goddess. Kuutar - Finnish Goddess of the Moon. It is the full moon, and so we honour Kuutar. A luminous beauty, She spins golden yarns from the light of the moon and weaves shimmering clothes of glittering gold. #WitchSky
