I’ll bet, for instance, not that many people have heard of Claudette Colvin despite her doing exactly the same thing as Rosa Parks several months earlier en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claudet...
God Save The King isn’t that great either. And we should have a flag with the 3 lions on with a red background rather than the St George’s Cross.
Going to work in Croydon everyday on the tram / bus, you can really visibly see places that have done this. It’s a great transformation. Shame it’s been stopped www.centreforcities.org/publication/...
Have taken the, very short, Create Streets Pilgrimage to the shops in Merton.
Just have to hope that this isn’t a repeat of the last time someone stood down to create a vacancy for another person in Parliament (I would ordinarily agree you deserve to lose for playing these games if Reform weren’t the beneficiaries of it) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1965_Le...
MPs of major parties stop insulting people who have / may vote for you challenge (impossible, apparently)
Very heartless opinion of me, but in politics you live by the sword and die by the sword. You’re (probably) only originally elected due to your party label. Should be prepared to accept you may lose your seat because of that party label too. The victor doesn’t sound great here though.
Wow, can’t believe she didn’t just ,bravely, anonymously text a gossip journalist to complain instead.
You’re in opposition after 14 years of government and have lost 557 seats and counting. I’d say she’s reflecting on this differently in private, but I think this is actually what she believes.
Nick Clegg going for some referendum on AV rather than insisting on PR for local government was a massive mistake www.bbc.co.uk/news/electio...
