I absolutely adore the #Wallabies shirt, with artwork that's decorated the island for millennia. 🥰
Monsieur Le Ted's been on the cabernet sauvignon again. Obviously celebrating the Jalibert/Ntamack pairing. 🥂🐻
France is having a wet dream right now: Jalibert and Ntamack SELECTED! The rugby gods' faces are everywhere... and the two most gorgeous fellas in rugby make for happy droolscrolling. Even male vidcasters are commenting, one holding up a pic of Romain every time he mentions "handsome Matthieu" lol.
Snippet from Wiki's "Resignation from the House of Commons of the United Kingdom" page. NF may not be released until an MP is elected to the post - and he can't seek his planned re-election until he's released from duty. And that's all in Labour's hands. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resigna...
If the young France team are "les Bluets" and Italy "gli Azzurri" (both "little blues"), are the Australian Wallabies called Joeys?
My one and only Cheaty Cup post: hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... (breathe) hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... (air!) hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. 🖕🤣 #Belgium🖤💛🩷
I've been stressing about getting Toulouse... 😭 ... but I've just realised we don't play the team from the same nation! 😳🥳 All the best! I've now placed Tigers in my Top Deux and won't cry (much) if (in your dreams) you beat us in the final. 🤝😉 #DatabaseQueen
It's weird looking at the screen! I feel as though my head's jerking left to right and back again, yet it's perfectly still. I wonder if aliens are playing Pong with my brain...
I've no idea what the previous post was; they were automatically blocked by a MAGA blocker. I'd also blocked this nasty POS but went looking just for you lol. What a vile excuse of a human that timeline is! 🤮
It would be nice if we had a leader who could "handshake" like this and follow it up with a shoulder bump without looking a complete robotic arse. Especially when he's half their size...
If you fancy a bit of live rugby so you don't have to move for hours in a heatwave, two Under 20s matches are about to kick off. Other nations; games are at staggered times throughout the day FREE on rugbypass.tv. That's me not moving... 🍿😁🍹
The use of the word "heatwave" over the past hundred years. Special thanks to the online Collins English Dictionary, who then bombarded me with ads for aircon! 🥳
Thanks for reposting @patrick-barlow.bsky.social! 👍 And thank you @squidgerugby.bsky.social for slipping our old man Levani into your video! The Fijians bring their own fire and delight. 🥰 Fun fact: Dakuwaqa is a Fijian shark deity and often appears as a fierce sea monster, guarding the islands.
I was reading the Wiki page for them and they tend to live in scattered pockets, within their own gene pools. We're probably witnessing the development of separate species in this very thread.
It's got a beautifully marked body. I thought ours were more of a pearl body but I got a pic and they're similar, though not as distinctly marked. I love their little knees.
Oof! My earphones are dangling from my laptop - and touched my foot as I scrolled down to that! I didn't know I could get out of this bucket chair so quickly! He's a lot smaller, a Pholcus phalangioides, and I've just seen what he will look like, thanks to Wiki! 😱😂
I love the heart-shaped head. Mine's a corn snake - here he is in a plastic shopping bag lol. I left it in the hallway after shopping and he stayed in there for two days. I've now put it in a corner for him to hide in. This is his nervous "Oh no, she's found me" look.
I like googling acronyms. I usually take the first one and apply that to the sentence. 😁
Confirmation! Edith was living in Vancouver when she died. Her obituary confirms son John and a grandson James. I can't find anything more for either John or James; recent docs are fewer. The funeral directors for Edith are still extant so they may be able to help. www.legacy.com/funeral-home...
That might be a bit of a task! Edith Muriel Selwyn Hind, Alexander's wife, died in 1999 in Vancouver. Was son John there or, as she was born there, visiting other family at 96? The last confident record of John is in 1968, living with his parents in Ealing.
And one last treat! The family of three sailed from Las Palmas, Argentina, back to London in 1928 (The ship's log shows ports of call: La Plata; Las Palmas; Vigo; St Vincent.)
Alexander married Edith M. S. Hind in 1939 and had a son, John D. Smalley, in 1945. It may be possible to track the family from there. And the missing 1921 Census for Alexander? He was a boarder at Bradfield College.
Henry's son Alexander did go into the forces. He was an Aeronautical Inspector on the Sep 1939 Register (80 Eastwood Road) but the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve records him as a lieutenant from Oct 1928 (published Feb 1939 Feb, column 1).
There's a Wiki page for the Regiment. Infortunately, the Surrey Infantry Museum was based at Clandon Park House, near Guildford, until it was destroyed in a fire in April 2015. The War Museum or National Archives may have more information. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Su...
