I bought this copy of SPI's War Of The Ring new when I was 13 in 1981. I have since obtained other copies that are in better shape and more complete, but I keep this one despite the damage and the crude proxies for missing units and cards.
Dug in the long boxes for the previous Concrete series before diving into the 1st issue of Stars Over Sand. Found some forgotten @paulchadwick.bsky.social convention art!
Just realized it's now 40 years since HS graduation. And 50 years since being a bicentennial 2nd grader.
Bought this Hockney print 30 years ago at the LA County Museum Of Art exhibit of his work. The original collage is much more impressive.
