Current conditions in Magnolia, TX (Houston area), where it is 92 with 59% humidity and feels like 104.

Current conditions in Terlingua, TX (far southwest Texas in the Chihuahuan Desert) where it is currently 91 with 21% humidity and feels like 87. It also might rain later. Desert thunderstorms are a real treat, in many ways.

This is a very unusual location for an #earthquake (3.5ml). I pulled up recent seismicity from #USGS and found nothing. The only geologic structure of significance I know of in the area is a buried impact structure. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marquez...)

There is a chunk of the American population who can't put two and two together. I've chosen the most recent example (ignoring Rasmussen) on RCP, but other polls show this too. How do you approve of Donald but think the country is going in the wrong direction?

To paraphrase the question being asked: sauropods were too large to be picked up by tornadoes, but were their necks strong enough to resist the wind or "would they start helicoptering all over the place?"

Kinda jealous of these people on Norwegian Gem tonight. Back in January, we were on a cruise out in the Gulf and were just within range to see a SpaceX launch. Not so close as to see liftoff, but I think we saw a stage separation. It drew the geek out in me, even though, you know, Musk. #ArtemisII
