it is genuinely impressive to me how quick the new tablet made me like WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS FACE TOOK ME LESS THEN 5 MINUTES TO PAINT

like for comparison this was the last time i "tried" this style which was 5 years ago

specifically this is the first time i've drawn a non-sketch face in line art and without overly complex shading/rendering before, i only used this style for non human(ish) designs like machines or monsters

i am trying out a more stylized face because i noticed i can easily paint a realistic one but i cuz freeze up when it comes to simplified ones

I used to DREAD doing line art on my drawing to the point of fully avoid it or simply abandoning the drawing if i had to do line art with my new tablet tho? THIS SHIT IS ACTUALLY FUN WTF

This was originally done on paper with ink as a quick sketch while i was waiting for my wife in like 20 minutes I did fully have to rework it cuz a bunch of stuff is wrong here but i loved the idea too much

for comparison this took the same amount of time on my old Intuos S Like yea, these are 6 and 3 years old and i've improved in that time but the clearly smoother and cleaner lines and THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME are due to the new tablet
