COVER REVEAL! I am thrilled to share the cover for my debut novel, GRIEF CAMP, forthcoming from @sfwp.bsky.social on September 14, 2027! Cover design by Gwen Grafft. GRIEF CAMP is a darkly comic, propulsive exploration of celebrity worship, consciousness, and complicity. bit.ly/GriefCampBook

On this day in 2005, my first play was presented in public: TRANSPARENT STING is a comedy about a scientist’s quest for truth and how it turned him into a fugitive and brought his estranged family together. This play explores odd drug inventions, US healthcare, addiction, and the meaning of life.
Kick off a fun and productive summer of creative #writing with me at the #Delaware Art Museum on June 26 from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm. Registration and cost information can be found on the #DelArt website: DelArt.org. #writingcommunity #writingclass #creativewriting
Just a reminder - Cadillac Desert: The American West and Its Disappearing Water by Marc Reisner remains a highly relevant and important book. I'm revisiting this book now as I revise my debut novel, GRIEF CAMP, which will be published by SFWP on September 14, 2027.
Just took the fam to see Cirque du Soleil - LUZIA - outside of Philadelphia. It was spectacular!
On Sunday, I got to see The Fear of 13 on Broadway. What a powerful and important play! Afterwards, my friend and I had the honor of meeting Nick Yarris (the story is about how he was convicted and sentenced to death for a crime he didn’t commit and served 22 years on death row)!
The Key West Literary Seminar has invited me to be a writer-in-residence this fall! Thank you, Key West Literary Seminar, for this honor! I plan to finish revising my forthcoming novel GRIEF CAMP, which will be published by @sfwp.bsky.social in '27, and continue working on a new fiction manuscript.
And that's a wrap for my six-week Fiction #Writing Workshop at the #Delaware Art Museum. It was awesome getting to work with such a talented group of writers. I will be offering an Advanced Writing Workshop on four Saturdays this summer. Stay tuned... #writingcommunity #writingclasses
For BSR Book Week, I had the pleasure of reviewing The Grief Shop and Other Stories from a Broken World by @alessandrostardust.bsky.social. Alex DiFrancesco's powerful new book, a linked collection of speculative short stories, offers a cathartic escape and is a surreal exploration of humanity.
Due to the extreme heat, tonight's Scholars' event on Citizen Artist will now be held at the air-conditioned Buzz Ware Village Center, 2119 The Highway, Arden, Delaware, 19810. See you at the Buzz at 7:30 pm tonight! #Delaware #DelArt #artists #writingcommunity

One of the things that has gotten me through these challenging times is getting to teach #creativewriting to adult #writers. I am excited to expand where I will be offering my creative #writingclasses this year. More details coming soon... #teachingartist #writingcommunity
I have always admired snakes, even back when I had more complicated responsibilities to them as a personal assistant to a movie star - one of the many odd jobs I’ve had over the years. In fact, part of that experience inspired my novel, GRIEF CAMP, which will be published by SFWP in 2027. #GriefCamp
It was an honor getting to join @jennybartoy.bsky.social, the editor of No Contact: Writers on Estrangement, published by @catapultbooks.bsky.social, and fellow contributors at Jenny's book launch last night at Liz's Book Bar. Photos by Barbara Garrick

This weekend, your #writingprompt is to do a #freewrite on the types of forms you might try to fit an essay inside. Then, pick one and write a draft of an essay that fits inside that form. Read about this in Tell It Slant by Brenda Miller and Suzanne Paola. #writingcommunity #writinginspiration
Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I'm not there today, but my visit earlier this month has inspired my #writing.
I'm excited to kick off my Saturday Fiction #Writing Workshop with a wonderful (full house) group of writers at the #Delaware Art Museum. We’re going to explore how our obsessions fuel our creative engines. #writingcommunity #writingclasses #creativewriting #writinginspiration
I’m looking forward to kicking off a new creative nonfiction workshop tonight at the Delaware Art Museum! We will go caving (or spelunking for beginners) through our memories in search of meaningful story gems. #writingclasses #creativewriting
It was wonderful to be one of the readers and meet up with other writers at the Philly Writers Circle last night! #writingcommunity #writing
I am super excited to be one of the readers for tonight's Philly Writers Circle at Ray's Happy Birthday Bar (1200 E. Passyunk Ave.), 7-9 pm. I look forward to meeting up with other writers and experiencing new work. See you there! #writingcommunity #writing #creativewriting #writinginspiration
My child spotted this alligator at the Okefenokee Swamp Park (after I must have passed him at least twice without noticing). This inspires today's #writingprompt. Do a #freewrite on something or someone that is unnoticed. #writinginspiration #writing #writingcommunity
