I sat down on the river bank yesterday, and a baby gull came to say hi. He clearly hadn't learnt to fear people yet. Or maybe he just wanted a taste of my ice cream! He turned out to be a very patient model #photography #naturephotography #Photobyme
The sea mists here hover at head height, their tendrils galloping along like skittish wraiths. It's an amazing sight. Sadly, right now, we're experiencing a less evocative 'mist' — the smoke from the fires raging over Conwy and the Sychnant Pass. Gutted to think of the wildlife. This from yesterday.
I finally managed to get to the #Pontcysyllte aquaduct which carries the Llangollen Canal, 39 metres in the air, across the River Dee. It was quite a surreal experience! The builders blended ox blood with the mortar. Clearly it's important to get the both science and the magic right! #photoshare
Today's #photoshare is a little bit of whimsy. An early morning #photograph ... playing with perspective. I still think it needs an action figure in the foreground! #photography
My obsession with bus stops continues! Today's share is all lines and reflections of reflections. It all seems to have gone a bit Mondriaan! #Photography #photoshare #Noir
I love how you can turn a corner, head down a back street and discover a little slice of #history that's somehow survived the press of time. Today's #photoshare is a great example of 'every picture tells a story' #photography
Pareidolia is the word for the brain's habit of turning random shapes into familiar objects. Last night's example was this ... a little pile of pastels, turned into a face. Looks a bit Siouxsie to me...? #photography #Photobyme
I do love British high streets. There's always something quirky to see. For instance, I don't know why this clock in #ColwnyBay is festooned with #knitted bunting... but it is. Anyone enlighten me? #Wales #photography
When you're in a #coffeeshop and it's too hot to read .... you start to see #photographs #photography everywhere. Or is that just me?
Yesterday I decided to go to a local market, having been told it had great food. Sadly there were only four stalls—one selling dog treats, one soap. So I headed to the chippy and discovered maybe the most British food ever. Battered mushy peas. Beat that! #FoodFind #FoodieLife #foodies #FoodieSky
Take a seat. It's the #weekend ! And today's #photoshare is all about #relaxation #photographyisart
Today's share is are some little lonesome trees, bent by the prevailing wind. I enhanced the image slightly to pump up the blue. Not sure if it's too much?#photoshare #photography #Natureisbeautiful
The blue hour may be a caused by atmospheric scattering and ozone absorption, but to me it will always be magic. #photograph #NatureScenery #Natureisbeautiful
Today's #photoshare is a little still life. Spot the ladybird! #photpgraphy #natureisbeautiful
Loving that view along the #Wales coastal path! Today's #photo share was taken on a bike ride to #Rhyl And just look at that sky! #photography
Today's #photoshare is this chap/chapette. Caught red-hoofed munching on my neighbour's hedge. Zero shame. Much style! #goats #Llandudno
It's another beautiful day on this big, blue ball! Whatever horrors the news dumps, somehow a walk on the beach never fails to reset my brain... hope it does for you too. Todays #photograph share was taken on my local beach here in #Wales #NatureMagic #NatureVibes
Absolutely stoked to have received an author copy of Belanger Books' Silence: Untold Tales, which celebrates Algernon Blackwood's brilliant psychic detective. #supernatural #detectives #indiepublisher
Happy #Saturday Hope everyone's staying cool and enjoying a little well deserved rest this #weekend #photography #flowers
Today's #photoshare is another for the grainy bus stop collection. Well sort of. It's a #Victorian style #seaside shelter. There are seven along the #Llandudno promenade. I always think it's odd that there are also seats looking away from the sea ... but I guess it's to people watch!
I've always loved shadows and reflections — and I seem to take a lot of these sort of #photos For me, it's the outdoor equivalent of lying in bed and imagining patterns in the wallpaper as a kid... but what do you see? #photograph #abstract
Walking home last night it was great to see so many people just enjoying the evening. Sometimes, it seems like no one has the time to stop and stare. #photography #photoshare #Llandundo
I stumbled across this #photograph the other day and it reminded me of all the happy weekends I used to spend @GunpowderMills watching historical reenactments The #photo is at least 15 years ago — taken with a little snaps camera I always had on my bike. Good times!
The gulls are watching me again .... :) #photographs #birdwatching #photography #Birds! 🦉
There's something oddly British about crazy golf! My local version has #pirates too. Although, sadly you're not allowed to touch them. The little girl being taken there by her parents yesterday refused to play because it's not Halloween yet. Gotta love child logic! #photoshare #seaside
I usually prefer wild spaces to formal gardens, but there's something really appealing about a old fountain, surrounded by water lilies. Maybe it's the calming sound of falling water? Today's #photoshare was taken at bodrhyddan hall #Wales #flowers
I spent yesterday chasing the Western Reef Heron around. Great to see such a rare visitor, and so many excited #birdwatchers Good views both at RSPB Conwy and, here, on my local patch. It is in the photo, but you needed a generous scope-owner to see it! #birdlife #photography
I guess Summer is finally here as the pigeons have decided that the birdbath is the perfect place for a snooze! #birdoftheday #photographs #birding Birds! 🦉
Thanks. TBH, the sky was the star of the day. The desaturation just emphasised that. It's always nice to have Mother Nature on your side!
I've been playing with spot colour again... Here's another image of Bodrhyddan Hall. This was desaturated in Photoshop, then the green was picked out on another layer, and merged. What do you think? Too gimmicky? #photography #photographs #PhotographyIsArt #PhotographersOnBluesky
