I bought these. I was so worried @ $25 a glass they would be cheap Chinese $2 glasses. Pleasantly surprised. Hand made Italian. Love them to bits. A $200 splurge that will result in many years of enjoyment. Happy Aspie.
i only have 150k at the moment. I have had an offer accepted on this land in lismore for 255k. i will borrow the rest. i will get a bridging loan and build 2 cabins for 400k. i will sell one 495k. i will then pay back the loan. my own new home. a lot of work, but 150k + costs.
Not quite sure where you got that I advocate for slums? This is my current Bali project, and I don't have much money. I will show you my Australian project too if you like. It's all about how you approach life. The rounded heavy concrete look is a fad and unaffordable.
In a quandary. Lost my BMW (pictured) in a hail storm. Suncorp would not let me buy it back. Full time carer for my mum, so a VW van I could use to escape. Had one before and they are great. But the BM is a nice ride for a 60 YO. What do I buy now? Prestige or practicality?

I have been pushing for years for the increased construction of 1 bedroom homes. 65% of our homes have 1 or 2 people living in them, but we continue building 3, 4 and 5 bedroom mansions? Why? Here is my affordable plan for the home I intend to build.
I really don't think they are working for us. Some maybe? It's up to us. I will inherit a modest amount and plan to buy a lease on some land and build this. I can do it for 250k + rent of the land. It's up to us to be creative and make our own way if we can. Housing is a good investment for the gov.
The they turned it into an airbnb... I have downsized into mum's garage. I still feel like one of the lucky ones.
