Yes yes the san marcos monastery in the parador de Leon is full of amazing mounted and relief sculptures but I'm most fascinated by all the skulls.

I had an excellent time at #Swancon last weekend! It was amazing to be an invited guest at this super special 50th edition. I had many fascinating conversations, met so many cool people, was on so many engaging panels, presented a Ditmar award, ran a flash fiction workshop & so much more!

In 2018 I ran my first half marathon on a dare. I struggled but did it - in 3hrs. I've run a lot since but haven't done another 21km. Last Sunday I finally did. And finished in just over 2 hours. It was great to challenge myself and be one of the 40k people who helped raise $1.6 million for charity

Just watched Gladiator again and I have 3 thoughts: - its has structural and thematic problems but they're obscured by the magnitude of Maximus's charisma. - Djimon Honsou is great in it. - I can't believe Gladiator 2 actually tried to gaslight us into thinking Lucius was Maximus's son. Total BS.
