The oldest I can think of, that I have, is Surround for the Atari 2600, which was a launch title for the system in 1977.
lol, thank you :3 I don't know that I would have it in me to play another game with first-person dungeon crawling like this, but it was definitely a memorable experience. I still have the maps themselves too, as a fun memento to look back on
I might have, lol. To be fair, I applied both gems and a coupon code to lower the price when ordering Paprium... but even the default order price at the start was less than this
My Renne plush doll is finally here! I'm so happy yayyyyyyyyyyyy 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Thank you @bracerguild.bsky.social ^_^
I'm usually reluctant to call any one specific thing my "favorite" of a genre or medium... but I'm feeling pretty confident right now that Autopsy's Mental Funeral is my favorite death metal album of all time. Just listened to it for the first time in awhile, and it still hits so good
After years of collecting metal music, I am happy to say that thanks to recently getting Ghastly Funeral Theatre and Hail Horror Hail... I can now finally spell out SIGH :3 #metalsky #blackmetalsky
Day 28 - Favorite title screen Trails from Zero's title screen stands out to me. I remember when I first set up the Geofront mod, I just sat idle on the title screen for several minutes, taking in the amazing music and marveling at how I was actually getting to play Zero. Good times
Day 26 - Favorite crackship Hmm... haven't really thought about it before. I guess it would be fun to ship Bermotti and McBurn? Haha
Day 25 - Favorite character Estelle, but I already listed her for favorite female character, so uhhhh... I'll pick Renne, I guess. Renne has been a consistent highlight of the series, with incredibly strong development, and I look forward to seeing more of her.
Day 19 - Favorite male character Van Arkride, no question. He is so cool, and also my boyfriend.
Day 17 - What is the coolest quote you can remember? "Time for ul-tra-vi-o-lence. 🎵"
Day 14 - Moment that made you laugh the hardest Trails into Reverie - this particular iconic scene, made me laugh so hard I could barely breathe
Day 13 - Favorite weapon Van's stun caliber - I thought it was neat to see a new variant of "stun" weapon after the stun halberds that the CGF wield, and it helps add character to Van's approach to combat, while giving him a distinct variety between lethal and non-lethal offensive capabilities.
Day 9 - Which character's clothes would you like to wear regularly, if size wasn't a concern? Agnès has some really incredible, cute outfits - I particularly like her default Horizon outfit a ton. I would totally wear that if I could find it anywhere.
farewell Kisekidle 🥺 oh well - hopefully someone else can run with the idea #Kisekidle
I've seen a lot of Trails fans doing this, so I will do it too. my Fandom Opinion Meme :3
#RandomGameSaturday Been awhile since I did a Random Game Saturday post, so here's my copy of Contra: The Alien Wars for the Game Boy. The Super NES version is better when it comes down to it, but honestly this isn't that bad
it's here 😮 😮 I did it 😮 😮 my favorite black metal albums per year, from 1990-2025 ^_^ yay
the topic of swearing on the podcast came up in the HG101 server, so I made this :3
Game #13 - RoboCop: Rogue City (Steam) (beat on June 24th) Absolutely incredible. Some performance issues and glitchiness aside, I had an absolute blast playing Rogue City. It works incredibly well as a lite-immersive sim FPS, while capturing the vibe of the first RoboCop film quite effectively.
Game #12 - Final Command: Akai Yousai (FDS) (beat on June 7th) Very peculiar release. This essentially feels like a prototype for the much-improved NES release of Jackal. From the fact there's no horizontal scrolling, to the fact the overall level designs are much more simplstic here - this is odd.
Game #11 - The Legendary Axe II (TurboGrafx-16) (beat on June 3rd) This game seems neat initially, despite how different it is from the first Legendary Axe... but the more you play it, the more its high degree of total bullshit becomes apparent. This game frustrates me to think about. blegh
What game made you fall in love with video games? For me, I think it would be Mega Man X. I don't think it was the first game I played, but it's the earliest game I can recall playing, that truly captured my imagination as a kid, as well as played a major role in formulating my taste in games.
