Also I think it'd be very weird for them to just be retconned out considering at least one of their doors still appears in the finale.
DIGITAL CIRCUS SPOILERS Hey so, what's up with these 4 abstractions we've seen on the doors in the hallway? Why aren't they on the mural? Were they just retconned out of existence?
There's some subtle design differences, mostly in her facial structure. Smaller nose and mouth, either no eyebrows or round eyebrows, sometimes a different boot design, etc. Personality-wise she's a bit more assertive and mature, which contrasts with the innocently kind and air-headed Pac-Man.
I'd prefer OoT get a reimagining for a few reasons. There's no shortage of ways to play the original, and I can't think of much a faithful remake could really improve. But I also don't want it to be faithful because I THINK THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME SUCKS!

I did see that, it mostly was just complaining about the game's graphics and very little to do with the actual gameplay. When you were comparing it to Mario Kart World I couldn't help but think of this Miyamoto quote that he probably never actually said.

Honestly, that edit actually puts more into perspective why I don't like these designs; they don't fully commit to the realistic look. Why not go all the way with it and make them just look like real animals? I think a big thing is the eyes. They all have human/mammal eyes. Give Slippy frog eyes!
Nah, these designs are different. It seems these designs for the ghosts originate from the Ms. Pac-Man cabinet art, though they were used in other Pac-Man media during this era like those bizarre Pac-Man story albums and some toys.
Okay so NEW realization I've come to: The NES demake of CE1 is actually quite a bit better than the original version! It feels much faster and tighter. At first I thought it was just the scrolling making me think that, but it seems they actually did size down the maze slightly. Count the Pac-Dots.

Decided to update my commission sheet, removing the soft shading because it's too time consuming for something that honestly doesn't look very good. Anyway, I still haven't gotten commissions so please help out I need the money!
