Finally got around to playing this and I regret not having started sooner. Excellent indie through and through plus giving me 100000 ideas for my own shop which is more or less this video game irl.
In positive news… Everyone root for Jamie! We used to be buds who did trivia together and he’s currently the reigning Jeopardy champion.
I’ll be reviewing every episode of the season for The DeMonster. Don’t miss it because… holy shit. Do I have lots to say.
"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adults—Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe—living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.
No but really. Look at that. Look at all those genres. And a personal sound track? They don’t make em like they used to.
20 years ago I remembered being in high school watching this just to be waiting for Samuel Jackson to drop the iconic “mother fuckin snakes 🐍 “ line. Rewatching it now on cable tv. Is it weird to like this movie more now? It’s terrible. But the build-up… well it’s a build up!
As someone whose living is very dependent on vending at shows selling comics… WTF is this weather.
Check out the concepts and art by @tmandrake.bsky.social for The Devil and Daisy Dirt. More later. We… are absolutely working together on adapting this NJ play into a comic book. Expect a ton of stuff soon.
Guys, I really am liking The Beauty. Maybe in biased bc I absolutely loved the comic… but I actually do like that they took the concept dial to 11 Ryan Murphy style. Review underway. Go buy the comics or trades from @ignitionpress.bsky.social or watch the pilot if interested.
Have a graphic novel review of it coming out Monday but this was fantastic. Was kinda like Somna but set in a horror trippy Almost Famous type universe as it was about… well… groupies.
Been a rough start to the year for shows mostly due to snow. Decided to say fuck it and bailed on my Saturday show so I could watch my 8 year old nephew’s basketball game instead. I think this is the year I actively pick better values. Love that kid as if he were my own.
Can see the Stone Pony logo behind this pic (hard to find pics 2004-2006)
I read most Christina’s scripts. Bumblebee and Birds of Prey are actually pretty great. I disliked The Flash movie but I dug the writing (and of course Michael Keaton). Lotta people seem to just dislike her just bc she’s a woman. But tbh wish I had an ounce of her talent. Probably one of my faves
Hi Kieron. I really liked We Called Them Giants. So much so that I sold it at my pop up bookstore and am now down to my final 2 copies. The Power Fantasy sounds neat I feel like people should read more of your work. Especially as I heard folks liked the X-Men Thingie ya did and alls.
I enjoyed One Battle After Another but find it weird the major differences between this versus Civil War in terms of audience reception. The biggest critique I had seen being Civil War never went political enough. Though I weirdly think this movie hadn’t either? Yet, is more well liked.
Just finished the life of chuck. That was fantastic. Love Mike Flanagan but the actors? And the short story by Stephen King? Reminds me of happy stories. Of why life is important.
A long time ago near a stony Pony or at the stone pony… 2005-2007
Be real with me. Is Nice House on The Lake a bad choice to read before bedtime?
Sorry got the dates mixed up. Play returns in April. Go see the team this December at Smodcastle. Where they’re doing Die Hard as a silly radio play.
Thanks for waiting patiently. We’ve mostly decided and will respond soon but if any colorists wanna send in a portfolio feel free. I’d like a few more options. Details revealed: It’s a comic adaptation of and by the Devil and Daisy Dirt team in NJ Kevin Smith is producer Go see the play today
Thanks to everyone who responded. Gonna close this out, but seriously, didn’t expect so many amazing creatives to reply. Will follow up this week w/ those interested in comic adapting the play but, well, it’s outta the bag. This is the play. And Kevin Smith & Weird NJ is producing it.
I’m in the 1st percentile across every chapter. I pitched strategy guides to companies to no avail. It’s a big reason I’m sorta giving up as a gaming journalist as this happens so much lately.
I don’t know why I’m only discovering about Bugonia now but I know wtf I’m watching in theatres today
I have spent the entire post-Halloween tabling day watching the Terrifier franchise bc I run into the cast a lot at these horror conventions. And man… These are… Movies alright.
