Jaya has congenital cataracts. Her kin frown upon disabilities and practice infanticide. While it is her brother who takes the responsibility of finding a healer for her, she does her share of work to keep up. Her other senses are sharper, and she ends up aiding her brother more than he expected.

We went to the beach today but it was not safe to swim. All I did was watch clouds. Of course I saw a gorilla...
I think I can fit two more animals on this sticker sheet, but that wouldn't leave much room for a title. If a title is needed at all...
I'm surprised they have so many animals. The zoo has been closed since 2011 and just opened this year. How did the animals survive the war? Who was feeding them and how did they finance it? Did they bring entirely new animals? And how did they acquire them? I have sooooo many questions.
Also saw a chimpanzee for the first time in real life. The conditions here are comparable to other zoos I've been to in Canada. It's just that some enclosures are a bit small, and they don't have much enrichment.
I went to Tripoli Zoo. Did not explore the entire place because it was massive! I'll have to go again. I saw a gar for the first time. They have noses AND gills.
Concept art. Most of the Neanderthal family members are not important plot-wise, since they are just there in the opening chapters before the MC's journey starts. But I don't want them to be plain and with nothing to remember them for (not character design). So, here is an unfortunate mom with PPD.
Zelda 2 enemy encounter. I disliked the grass enemies. I hated the forest enemies. I detested the swamp enemies. I only tolerate desert enemies. They are easy to spot and beat. #loz
What a funny question xD There is an important scene where Jaya goes feral and bites someone so hard that one of her milk teeth come off lol. She remains without front teeth for a while. #oc

June 21 was world Giraffe day! I made this painting a while back to practice painting on Procreate. I never posted it, so here it is now!
Cave Bear! For the coat, I painted something between a brown and black bear. Cave bears are usually shown as brown, but they lived in dense forests. Bears who live in similar habitats have dark coats with light marks, like Asiatic black bears. Decided to try something different!
Megaloceros! Giant deer with giant antlers. Closest living relative is possibly the fallow deer. There are multiple depictions of what is thought to be megaloceros found on cave walls, and they show a black stripe going across the body. I included that in my reconstruction.
Working on my chibi prehistoric megafauna series! I'm going to share a little background on their appearance. First up is Homotherium latidens. They are usually depicted as pale (plains and snow). However, a recently discovered cub is dark! Could be because of mummification...?

Junar shares his name with a type of Orange. 🍊 'Junar' the fruit is known for being very sweet. Junar is a sweet boy too :) or tries to be haha. (He is actually a bitter guy but he's got loads of sweetness deep in his heart I promise 😭).
