Last week, my laser engraver diode etched its last. When replacing it, I had misread the label, so the one that I ended up getting is over 1200% more powerful. It's like the laser I've always wanted. And it looks like I won't have to engrave tiles by hand anymore.
There is no more pleasant evening activity than spending a few hours burning a 10' high pile of mulberry.
Managed to score 2 pairs of baggy 100% linen pants for $3 each recently. My only issue is that they're pure white. I've spent the evening mixing green and brown at different ratios. Here are the results with the 2 I'm leaning toward circled. Still debating though.
I learned today that the subject of this portrait that traumatized two generations of children by being hung at the end of a dark hallway and the victim of one of the most sensationalized murders in 1903 was not a distant relative but was actually my great great grandfather.
I can't possibly express enough gratitude to my friend for helping me fell this giant mulberry tree today.
Just got home from Chicago after seeing a 25th anniversary screening of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Absolutely marvelous time. Plus, I managed to grab some sweet merch.
Because I apparently needed a reason to hate mulberry even more. Happy Independence Day, wherein my giant mulberry tree liberated itself from this mortal coil in an attempt to provide mutually assured destruction. Luckily for me, mulberry is a fucking idiot and only dented my gutter. Fuck mulberry.
If you want an academic resource on divination with corn, here's a demonstrative chart from an ethnography on the Nahua people.
This is going to bother me. I went on Google street view to see some places from my past. One of these places was an abandoned schoolhouse. I wanted to see if it was visible from the road. Google blurred it. I need to know why.
Two broken trees dealt with. Now I'm all itchy and cut to hell. But at least Niihka got to lose his mind by playing on the ritual logs in the woodshed.
I should probably change my presenter photo to this now that I've decided to give a presentation on magick and surrealism. I dunno. Seems to fit the vibe better. #operationoctarine #chaosky
Iihši and Niihka love their tent and canopy cot. They get to relax while we take care of the yard and garden.
Oh, I'll *definitely* be bringing a competitive ritual to the chaos magick festival. #operationoctarine #chaosky #witchsky #occultsky
A strange dream I had recently that I shared elsewhere. I'm posting it here, because remembering the feeling of the intoxication still makes me feel something akin to dread, and I'm curious what others think.
Made some switchel following the recipe in The Scythe Book. One word: goddamn.
Here's hoping pineapple ginger works better than the cosmic horrors I brewed last time.
Another commissioned talisman. More tech experimentation, but I'm still very happy with the results. Please excuse my acid-stained hand that betrays my lack of PPE.
I feel like they shouldn't have split this up with "do not" on the instructions.
Last weekend, we received four new bookshelves to replace our two dilapidated, old IKEA ones. I just finished anchoring them all to the wall and filling them with books. Not organized. Just filled. My occult bookshelf is still a disaster though.
Looks like Niihka taught Iihši about the secrets of emotional support cat toys.
First international commission of the year has just been finished. I hope it finds plentiful usage to justify my blistered fingers.
After decades of owning a digital copy, I finally decided it was time to get a physical one.
