12:30pm. A few thunderstorms have developed over PEI and Eastern NS. Quite a bit of lightning.
A mix of sun and cloud with a few spotty showers or thunderstorms today. Rain is hit or miss. Showers/thunder more likely on a front over the southern Maritimes Thursday aftn/eve. That will cool things for Friiday. Decent chance of widespread rain Saturday night into Sunday.

Thunderstorms at the south end of a band of showers have moved offshore SW NS. The skies will gradually clear as showers weaken this am. Breezy. Another band of showers/thunder move into NB tonight then through NS early Wednesday. A third shower/thunder band Thursday night. Clearing & cooler Fri.
Mostly sunny & warm today; parts of NB reach 30C. SW winds cool parts of NB Fundy & NS Atlantic shores. The winds will increase Tuesday ahead of a front; gusts to 60km/h along Atlantic coast. Spotty showers Tuesday then a line of showers/thunder on a front in NB Tues night; then NS Wed am.
Multi-model outlook into late July: plenty of sun. Becoming warmer & more humid by mid week. Just spotty aftn showers; but a front Tuesday night might have some heavy showers/thunder. The front returns a more comfy air later this week. Back to a more warm & humid air next week; maybe heavy rain?
Yeah, pretty much less than 5mm throughout HRM yesterday. Barss Corner was the winner at 43.7mm in the thunderstorms
A welcomed but insignificant 1.8mm in my gauge this am. A mostly sunny & comfy weekend. Any showers will be brief & spotty. Humidity & temperatures increase early next week with some passing showers or thunderstorms, most likely Tuesday and Tuesday night. More comfy temps & humidity later in week.
12:30pm update: by 1:30pm expect the line of thunderstorms thru Halifax and to SW will move offshore. The area affecting PEI will move off to the east
11aam update. The line of downpours, thunder and lightning is heading towards the downtown area. Close to the city by noon

Widespread showers (risk thunderstorm) over NB & W PEI at 5am are moving southeast over NS this morning then move out later this aftn. Hoping to squeeze an early golf game... tough call. A fine weekend with just spotty showers. Aftn temps remain seasonably in the 20's.
Lots of sunshine; high 20's inland today. A few afternoon thunderstorms will be spotty. Showers or thunderstorms most likely across the middle of the Maritimes Friday; just spotty elsewhere. Fine weekend for your outdoor plans. Best chance of rain next week: Wednesday.... then turns cool late week.
The month to day rainfalls are pretty slim over most of the south and west. BTW, after looking more closely at my data, I did get some decent rain in late June when I was away in Vancouver.
I haven't had any significant rain since 19th June. The rain that is clipping extreme SW NS not expected to amount to much as it skirts south of Halifax. A few aftn showers Thursday mostly S NB. Some hope for a shower or thundershower Friday?? Otherwise, the mostly fine & warm weather continues.
Fine & warm inland today. High cloud over SW areas from a system that still has a 70% chance of clipping the Atlantic coast with rain or drizzle on Wed or Wed night. Clears out Thurs. Showers or thunderstorms on a front that moves north to south Friday. A chance of showers won't spoil the weekend.
A couple of very nice comfy days with sunshine and seasonably warm daytime temperatures. A system passing south of NS on Wednesday looks to clip the Atlantic coast with light rain/drizzle. Humidity increases late week and so do chances of passing showers or thunderstorms.
Winds have shifted to a cooler drier northwest; markedly cooler over eastern areas with passing cloud & a sprinkle. The stronger gusts persist all day over PEI & CB. Then a mostly fine week with lots of mid 20's. Rain might clip SW NS Wednesday. A line of showers looks to cross Friday. Enjoy.
Not often that Halifax reaches 30C by 11am... as the warmest place in Canada!
Thunderstorms develop on a front mostly over eastern regions this aftn or this evening. NB cools first while 30's return to NS this aftn. Sunday will be fine with cool teens over eastern areas under brisk NW winds. Nice next week with sunshine and mid 20's. The European AI model has rain on Wed.
Liverpool NS 35C... hottest place in Canada. Mostly sunshine... spotty showers and thunderstorms starting to develop in NB
Fredericton reached 35C yesterday; one of the hottest spots in Canada. Remains hot and humid today. A front triggers thunderstorms (most likely N&E) and ushers in more comfortable air later on Saturday. Mostly fine & seasonably warm next week... less humid. Possible rain event Wednesday... TBD.
Hot and humid air triggering some thunderstorms into Saturday. Lots of 30's (mid 30's NB) with overnight temperatures mostly in the 20's have resulted in heat warnings. Keep an eye on the radar, stay hydrated and try to stay cool.
Early morning thunderstorms with lots of lightning over eastern areas; most notably Cape Breton early this morning. A rude wake-up. Stay indoors.
A mix oif sun and hazy high cloud today; lots of mid 20's (a few 30's NB). A band of showers (thunder risk) moves from north to south tonight. Then a hot Thursday with quite a few 30's in NB and a few elsewhere. Another band of showers/thunder Thursday night then more heat of Friday.
Multi model outlook into July: a summer pattern in the forecast. Fine most days with lots of mid-high 20's and some 30's. Just spotty or brief shower events. So with no obvious significant rain events in the forecast, best to be sensible with water use, and careful in the forestes.
Fog lifts to mainly sunny day. Low chance showers. Quite a few mid 20's. Shower chances higher Tuesday aftn, triggered on sea breezes inland from Fundy & Atl coasts. A band of rain or drizzle moves into western areas Wednesday am then weakens as it moves east. Unsettled fine & showery thru weekend.
