Hi! I'm Roh, from One Fish Studio! a small fursuit workshop based out of my basement in MA. I post art, fursuits, project WIPs, and sometimes, my fish, Gabe. she/they, mid 30s, mostly Ace, dating a shark, generally SFW, occasionally a grumpy fox-critter!
both of our dogs came from rescues, so we have limited breed info, but i tell people we have a rare "hackle-backed terrier" or "Florida scruff" and an "American god-knows-what" or a "Mississippi dog-beast" together, they are skrunkle and sound scoops (or Ellie & Tess)

it depends what you're using it on! for shaved fur (like on a fursuit head) I use a boar bristle brush because it won't pull at stitches or cause balding for longer/unshaved fur, I use a slicker brush (the ones with the little nubs over the bristles are the best- I got mine from fursuit supplies)
I haven't gotten to braid a lavender wreath in forever! it's one of my favorite things, and I had just enough flowers! (I still left a bunch for the bees!) some day, I want to have enough space to have a ton of lavender plants, so I can make wreaths for all my friends who just need to chill tf out
I think I've finally gotten caught up on sleep from AC! Just in time for #fursuitfriday too! I had such an amazing weekend, seeing friends, meeting up with the one-fish family, and hanging out with my cute shark girlfriend @bzx34.bsky.social! yes it was 12 million degrees out, but I had a blast!
oh! I almost forgot! we're doing tail tag! idk who else is playing, but it looks like fun!

so, now that I'm done with my queue, I can share a side project that I finished a while back for #fursuitfriday! Meet Obake the Espeon! I figured with #Pokémon turning 30 this year, it was time to make one! I wanted to make her look a little tough, so I got to practice sewing scars!
fursuit= 3D wearable puzzle none of this makes sense now, but it will in 5-7 business days...probably...I hope.
this weekend was an emotional roller-coaster. one of my chicks collapsed on Friday. she was weakest of 3 and needed help hatching as she got stuck in her egg. I think she was suffering from heat exhaustion and dehydration. she seems to be pulling through, but I was sure she wasn't going to make it!
Fursuit Friday has been canceled at my house. the eggs went bad, and now it's a #fluffybirdfriday! chicken sticky note by @peripendrake.art
May has been big tail month in the workshop. it's unusual that I have 3 client tails hanging out in the shop at once....especially 3 that are each over a yard long
exceptionally shit day at the day-job! (I am not equipped to descalate sobbing patients for 8 hours!) I'm out of tyedye, so I'm consoling myself with yard chickens, a shark margarita, and the knowledge that I'm not on shift for the Friday shit-show tomorrow.
local craft store doesn't sell foam, fabric or magnets. what do they have?
I always debate what to post for WIP pics. Some of the really cursed stuff is funny, but do people want to see more run of the mill work-in-progess stuff? maybe just the finished turn-around posted after the commissioner has their suit? idk, I feel like I should post more suit making stuff here

I've been wearing the fancy new fly fishing bag all around FWA. It's the perfect size, and I've gotten so many compliments! the front pouch is perfect for storing all of my stickers!
