While Dems in DC believe McMorrow has so little integrity that she is willing to endorse the candidate she plainly has less in common with over personal bitterness, I still think she’s better than that. I hope I’m right, but even if I’m wrong her dropping out will not go the way Peters hopes.

Michigan's Senate primary could offer the biggest test of the progressives' momentum.
El-Sayed, the Sanders-endorsed candidate running for Senate, has a lead in recent public polling over Rep. Haley Stevens (D., Mich.), the preferred candidate of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.). Mallory McMorrow, a state senator, has been trailing in third place.

Sen. Gary Peters (D., Mich.) isn't seeking re-election. While he has remained publicly neutral, he has told associates that he believes Democrats need to coalesce around one candidate to face El-Sayed in the primary and has suggested that McMorrow needs to consider dropping out of the race, according to people familiar with the discussions. A spokeswoman for Peters declined to comment. A McMorrow spokeswoman said the candidate was "looking forward to talking to the only people who will decide this race:
Michigan voters."

Ultimately the story here is that Jordan Acker participated in reprehensible conduct, that conduct came to light, and unused to his actions having consequences, his closing argument to convention goers was “do not believe the evidence you are seeing with your eyes,” and he thought it would work.

Yesterday at UMich commencement Faculty Senate chair Derek Peterson made a statement of support towards pro-Palestinian protestors. It was pretty tame. One regent is now openly wondering how to curb freedom of speech on senate chairs via the board of regents. Vote for Brown and Makled.
