An unreal view when I looked up at the sky a few minutes ago, leaving my uncle’s place. The moon was surrounded by a seemingly perfect circle of cloud(?) (It shows up as a ring of light/glare in the photo. But looks like a ring of cloud in person.)

In a clear night sky, a bright spot in the middle is the moon. Surrounding the moon is a ring of light. In the foreground, there’s a tree in the bottom middle, extending up towards the center, covering part of the circle. Wrapping up last full day in Dublin… the city had so many festive activities… put Vancouver and its surrounding municipalities to utter shame.

St Patrick’s Park, behind the St Patrick’s cathedral. Stokerland, a part of a festival celebrating Halloween and Bram Stoker is wrapping up. There is a beige and pink tent top in the foreground. It's a dark and unsettling time when hate speech, racism, and discrimination are dressed up as "freedom of speech," when exclusion is rebranded as "personal beliefs" and when dehumanisation is excused as "just an opinion."

The line between freedom of speech and hate speech is not fine at all, it is drawn distincitvely between respect and harm.

True freedom is only possible when it does not come at the expense of another person's safety, dignity, or humanity.

… sending condolences to the family of Charlie Kirk. What happened is absolutely horrific. Our core values stem from treasuring all life, furry friend's and humans alike. Absolutely nobody deserves to have violence inflicted upon them because of opposing views. Sending healing thoughts and prayers to those that need them at this time. No matter where you are on the political spectrum, violence is absolutely not the answer.
