An image from Miró in the "livre d'artiste" exhibit at the MFA Boston. I'm curious about Miró but not much of a fan of his work in the exhibit (he's modernist, but was he big in the Pop Art movement?) This one might become a meme in my text replies of someone who isn't having a great time.

Indulging in physical media tonight. Topsy-Turvey (1999) directed by Mike Leigh. Jim Broadbent & Alan Corduner as Gilbert & Sullivan, chronicling (loosely) the creation of The Mikado in 1885. A stacked and talented cast, full of many familiar faces. The applause monologue at the end is fantastic.
Nearly time to put this #Timberborn colony to bed. Custom map based on a Himalayan mountain. Once the bots have got the resources fully stocked, I'll deploy the wonder for max wellbeing. Next play will be with Iron Teeth and tubes.
Despite availability, I can't make it tonight. Lots of good seats open for Friday.
If this hasn't already been pointed out, the review lists the wrong venue. Otherwise, it's already on my must-see list if I can get down to the City.
I got around to finally watching this excellent show. Great cast. Will definitely watch it again. #deathbylightning

Tonight's entertainment featured "Immortal Beloved" (1994), with Oldman as Beethoven. After the composer's death, Schindler sets out to identify the sole heiress named thusly in his Will. The are some captivating performances and gorgeous shots set against some of Ludwig's most notable works.
I haven't seen this is years. Possibly even decades. So strange how most of the songs seemed really familiar, as though I'd recently heard them.
Angela Lansbury would have been 100 today. I was fortunate to see her perform once, in the (misguided) 2010 chamber revival of Night Music on Broadway.
