During Wildfire Awareness Month, take time to evaluate how prepared your facility is for a fire. ZDR3 has supported wildfire responses requiring extensive coordination and animal evacuations. Train regularly and strengthen preparedness plans before disaster strikes. Learn more: nifc.gov

In this event, downed trees smashed fences that contained the animals & left precariously dangling branches. So we deployed experienced chainsaw operators. ZDR3 approaches every plan with the goal of ensuring the best possible outcomes for animals while safeguarding the people who care for them.

Everyone should have a disaster plan for their companion animals—especially personnel on ride-out or response teams, who need to ensure their pets will be safe and cared for while they work. This kind of preparedness can’t wait until a storm is bearing down on you. #zoo #aquarium #wildlife

National Hurricane Preparedness Week is an annual NOAA campaign that offers resources you can find by scanning the QR code. The best time to prepare for hurricanes is BEFORE hurricane season begins. Avoid having to rush through potentially life-saving preparations by waiting until it’s too late.
