Warm up that took longer than I intended, inspired by ShockOne’s Follow Me

So since I’ve gotta post a sketch, have one I’m working on inspired by Follow Me by ShockOne >.>

In the course of doing an errand, I checked one of my local bookstores to see if they had And Side By Side They Wander (which I proposed to my book club and it got picked for this month) and I was blind but it was there! Once I finish The Subtle Art of Folding Space I can start on it 👁️👁️

Repairing your stuff is so good, actually. One of the rivets on my notebook cover wasn’t installed properly originally, so I took it to a leatherwork drop in and fixed it! 💛

Learning to draw Banyue is going so well, though hair is still a guessing game

Eternal Abundance’s Exotic Bramble and Sweet Green Duo—more of a chocolate drink than a hot chocolate, on both counts. The flavours were there, but they didn’t seem to be balanced well or strong enough to counter things? We blended the two and that was nice, but yeah. Not quite what I was expecting

Cream’s Midnight Mochi Horchata and hot chocolate affogato—the horchata was really nice but could have used a little more spice, and I wish both of the ice cream mochi had been vanilla as the artificial strawberry threw me. The affogato was nice, but I only wanted a little of it. 😂

Butter Baked Goods’ Kardashamom season 16—a very nice, light hot chocolate, but the cardamom was also very light which surprised me. The shortbread didn’t really have any cardamom notes, but was delicious anyway.

Cathy’s Cafe’s Chrysanthe-YUM and Bergamot Butterfly—I found the earl grey one to be the better of the two. They were both nice, but the earl grey stood out more flavour-wise, and its mochi was better experientially for me despite the more floral earl grey notes
