17776 one of the most unique pieces of media i've ever had the pleasure of experiencing just as profound as i expected it to be, but also a LOT funnier than i thought. it's the kind of story that easily sticks with you i think i'm giving it a 10/10. very curious to check out the sequels
Twisted ohhh this was a great watch. im kinda surprised it came before TGWDLM the concept is great, Jeff Blim and Dylan Saunders fucking kill their respective roles, the entire thing is funny as hell, the songs are SO good even the meta elements are rly well done i loved this one. 9/10
Super Punch-Out!! like in the first one, some of the fights are just unfair, though i feel like that's part of the series identity atp finding instant KOs is fun. but this game rly has some of the least iconic opponents in the franchise Narcis was the most fun both fight and design wise 7/10
The Dark Queen of Mortholme mmh. a nice short experience i really liked the whole meta narrative this has going on, and it does what it does well enough, but i feel like it could have done a little more? even as it stands though it's a nice way to spend 30-ish minutes of your time 7/10
Kabuto Park ohhh this was such a cute and fun little experience. nothing much to say about this one but its adorable hunting specific bugs can be a little frustrating. the battles were surprisingly hype for me i wanna give this a rly high score just bc of buge. but. being objective. 7.5/10!!!
MIO: Memories in Orbit SIGH. i wanted to love this game so bad. and. i like it, a lot!! but it has some serious issues. many platforming challenges are kinda janky. some of the bosses are just bullshit. the worldbuilding is. fucking perfect. this game is frustrating 8/10. potential game
The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals going through the starkid hatchetfield trilogy with a dear friend, and this was. a hilarious start this was REALLY funny, though. idk if i love the ending. and i wish it had more songs that are actually good to listen to still just, comedy-wise. this is a nice 7.5
Knives Out ohhh this was a REALLY fun watch i've never rly seen a murder mystery movie like this, had a great time trying to figure it out even though i was way off Benoit Blanc is hilarious and there's so many neat little details that clue you in 9/10, real excited to watch the sequels
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts its a SNES mini kinda day this game is so fucking evil and unfair but in such a lame and unfunny wayyyy. its a shame bc i like the graphics and some of the level gimmicks a lot the devil enemy is an acolyte of you know what state. also i refused to play the game twice 6/10
F-ZERO this game feels like crack cocaine when you get it right. however 90% of the time you're getting it Wrong and it feels like getting stabbed in the ass repeatedly some of these track designs are. well. questionable is an understatement. fuck the fire place SO bad 7/10
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection and here we are! such a meaty collection. glad i finally managed to get around to finishing this up averaging out the score i gave each game and adding a few points for convenience, QOL and a fair price, i'd give this collection a solid 8.5/10!
Mega Man ZX Advent this game's main problem is the story. plot doesnt make that much sense, and the dialogue and voice acting are awkward as Fuck some bosses really left a lot to be desired too. only a couple models were actually fun to play a bit of a letdown tbh 7/10
Arcane the ending to this one PISSED ME OFF SO MUCHHH. season 1 is perfect, but season 2 does too many plotlines in too little time leading to a very rushed finale visually, its stunning. the story is mostly great too. amazing characters. just, the fucking s2 pacing/ending. still a 9, im just mad
Mega Man ZX i didn't think a metroidvania-like map would lend itself to mega man, but this was a LOT better than i thought it would be the different models are sick. tbh its just a shame the actual map screen sucks ass and is NOT intuitive at all 8.5/10, cant wait to play Advent now
either they nerfed knockout tours, i got VERY lucky, or im fucking goated at this game because i just got both of the new tours perfect on mirror mode on my first try. havent played this game in ages btw it really is like riding a bike
the 4 most zeffycore protagonists in fiction very weird collage of characters i know. but i think someone who knows me well enough could see a bit of me in each of these lmao
Thumper the devs apparently called the genre they were going for "rhythm violence" and i think thats really the best descriptor very addicting. never felt this much "in the zone" while playing a game. i truly felt like i reached flow state 8/10. some of the mechanics were a Little annoying.
DUDE THIS SHIP KICKS ASS AND I CAN WATCH MADAGASCAR WHILE I'M DRIVING HAHAHAHAHAHA DUDE THOSE ANIMALS ARE SO FUCKING FUNNY THEY MAKE ME WANT TO DO A BARREL ROLL
Ristar well this was a nice surprise!!! aside from some very light jank due to this game just, being old, this is a very competent and super charming and colorful platformer each level is super distinct and original with unique gimmicks and uses of the stretch mechanic. this was very fun 8/10
Vectorman 2 VASTLY superior to its predecessor. levels are unique enough to be memorable and distinctive, and the different forms are actually kinda cool still, the OST sucks, there's way too many off-screen enemies and obstacles and boss fights are just. weird. its a fine 7/10
ohhh i feel like i could pick a Lot of characters here but these come to mind at the moment hehe.
i actually have yet to play most of the plot and character heavy zelda games, since i've been playing them in release order, so most of what i've played didn't have particular villains... i havent even played minish cap yet, but im putting in Vaati off of sheer aesthetics!
i need you to understand that picking 4 was SO hard honorable mentions to van zieks, athena, dahlia hawthorne, trucy, simon blackquill, bobby fulbright, luke atmey...and probably more
PEAK MENTIONED!!!!!!!! i do feel obligated to point out there's like a canyon-wide gap between Dr. Habit and the others.
When the Past Was Around a neat little point and click hidden object game about grief and letting go not much to really say about this one, it's a pretty short game with a simple narrative. a few of the puzzles are kinda overly contrived imo but maybe im just dumb its a humble, modest 7/10
