It has come to my attention that Open Road Media will be reprinting Tanith Lee's Gothic vampire trilogy, the Blood Opera Sequence, and in paperback too! According to all the various sellers' websites, they are due out August 4 of this year!

It was Derby Day here yesterday, if you know anything about Louisville you know what I mean. So, I got some books before the highways got crazy.
Tonight, I saw Weapons. And to be honest? I have mixed thoughts. I thought the acting was great, but I question revealing the mystery behind everything so early along with some unneeded perspectives. I liked the ending, but I think the film abandoned its central theme.

Bookshop had another free shipping weekend, so I got some goodies.
Tonight I saw The Faculty. There was just really good 90s fun. Action, comedy, some cheesiness, but just a good time overall. Kind of makes me want to play those ObScure games. I like films with this kind of energy.
Tonight, I finally watched *Together* after much anticipation. Definitely one of the wildest films I've seen in a long time. I enjoyed the soft cosmic horror that was included and the origins of the supernatural "threat" were no overexplained and there was still some mystery to it.
Another Arthuriana book! I got this because I thought it had the Gawain and Ragnall romance in it, but it isn't the original poem but a modern prose story. Still, a lovely little collection with a story about Merlin and Ninniane/Nimue/Vivienne/Lady of the Lake/Watery Tart included.

I met local horror author J. H. Markert! Some guy was trying to convince him to use AI and Markert told him that his and other authors' books had been fed to AI to write like them without their consent, he mentioned that lawsuit from awhile ago. So glad I said hi to J. H.
Went to Half-Price Books and then Barnes & Noble. Finally got a copy of Spear and J. H. Markert was at B&N and he signed my copy of Dig (pics to come)
After many months of searching (and saving) I was finally able to grab a copy of Wendy Pini's Law and Chaos, her art book for an unrealized Elric of Melniboné animated film she wanted to do. The artwork is amazing, as expected from the co-creator of ElfQuest.
One of my most anticipated read, Electric Shamans at the Festival of the Sun, came early! Bones grab, The Fall of Hyperion! Grab those mass market paperbacks before they're gone.
