We're in a drought, and I took this one of a honeybee drinking out of my birdbath. I'd never seen them do that before. I am not a photographer at all, but it's one of the best pics I've taken, too.

I'm stoked for this one, @lukeoneil47.bsky.social is the man. He hooked me up with a WTHW sub when things were tight, and I told him I'd buy stuff as I was able. Luke writes for a few indy outlets I subscribe to, and his work is so, so good. I'll also be reupping my sub to WTHW when the time comes.

Buddy told me he was watching "doc on octopus." I was intrigued because I thought he was watching Doc Watson on some form of media, so I googled "Doc Watson Octopus." (he was watching a documentary about octopuses).

AI overview claiming Doc Watson, the bluegrass musician, is likely referring to Otto Octavius, the Spiderman villain known as Doc Oc. A pretty badass mash-up, but not even close to accurate.

I turned a grill into a planter. The begonia growing from the vent hole at the bottom self-sowed, somehow.

A gas grill that has been repurposed as a garden planter. It has heuchera, pansies, oregano, and sedum planted in it. A lone begonia is growing from a small hole on the side of the grill at the bottom.
