This morning I went to a comics reading event, part of ‘Lit Crawl,’ and it was sick.
I played through my solo adventure yesterday in about 30-40 minutes. It was really fun!! Even though I wrote it, I was surprised and delighted. I used dice, pencils, and Cairn Barebones Editions (at the park). Play report: I died, but the captive I was trying to rescue escaped!!
I finished up all of the art and maps for Out of the Iron Labyrinth the other week! I’ll show more soon >=^}
I’m excited to see posts about Between 2 Cons kicking off, looks super fun, good energy. I can’t go because I was studying the blade! ⚔️ Maybe next time!

Opening tomorrow at HI.RES gallery, a show celebrating music, with original pieces painted on vinyl album covers. 306 E. Grace St., RVA. The show will be up for 3 months, gathering more pieces as it goes, and the gallery will be open for various events. I’m excited about this one!!
All my attempts at visualizing them so far. We'll see where I actually land! @kennon9.bsky.social did the illustration in the OSE Demonic Grimoire, which is very cool. I know @betterlegends.bsky.social has an exciting version in the works too!
The Calcabrina is a new demon in the forthcoming OSE Demonic Grimoire. This is a wild, fresh, inventive monster. I asked @bradkerr.net about the writing and naming of said critter (see screenshot).

Decorating my next sketchbook. It was a simple muji notebook with a flimsy paper cover. Now it’s a hardcover monstrosity reinforced with chipboard, vinyl, decorated with spray paint and stickers and whatnot.
These last four are from the past month—my progress slowed a lot because I broke my collarbone (had a fall from my bike). I tried to draw left handed a lot, and later right-handed with the sling in. But it was frustrating. But, I’m healing up, got my sling off yesterday, and I’m ready to draw!!
