My absolute favorite Redford project is QUIZ SHOW, which shows the eventual dumbing down of discourse, the loss of respect for knowledge, and the upside of lying for profit. It posits the Quiz Show scandals as the harbinger of where we are today. Brilliant film, great script.

Saw a post on BSky of someone's pistachio olive oil cake and was inspired to make (what is probably) the second cake I've made from scratch in my life. It was a combination of seeing the picture and having a few buttloads of pistachios on hand, for undisclosed reasons.
