I crossed an item off my bucket list yesterday and learned how to surf! Thanks to my lovely wife @erininthemorning.com for the photos, and for planning out our family's awesome 2 week camper van trip!
Here's one quote from the MT4Palestine questionnaire, on "how to end Israel'soccupation" As for funding, he's not taking any corporate PAC money. So if a tech bro is donating, it's capped at the same rate as any citizen. So he's no more "funded by the Murdochs" than he is "funded by the Zephyrs"
Forstag pulling away in MT-1s primary! Very exciting to see! Sam took the lead around midnight last night, and his lead has continued to grow since. Looks like he's gonna pull through 🔥
Her nest is on the banks of the Clark Fork river, and right on the edge of Hellgate Canyon. The camera is just set up looking towards a parking lot. She's got a hell of a living space
Update: after her long trip back to Missoula, Iris is treating herself to a little snack Bonus fun fact: Iris is one of the oldest living Osprey in the world!
Iris the Osprey has returned! 🙌 Our queen roosts in Missoula once more 👑
Just wrapped up a Sunday morning hike in Maclay Flats here in Missoula. So many birds out and about 🥰
Capped off the weekend at Discovery for some skiing and snowboarding with the family. Super fun to get out on the slopes again after a couple months recovering from an MCL injury.
First day of spring means it's time to hike! @erininthemorning.com & I did Pattee Canyon today. She caught a photo of a red-tail hawk and we got to admire Missoula before dipping into the woods for a bit. The season changing is such a revitalizing moment of every year. Here's to the bloom 💕🌷
Here we go again! Running for my 3rd term in the Montana House of Representatives, fighting back the fascists & working to turn Montana blue. MONTANA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MAKEUP 1st Term (2023): 32 Democrats - 68 Republicans 2nd Term (2025): 42 Democrats - 58 Republicans 3rd Term (2027): TBD 👀
Update: I finished my first 2 books of the year! On Tyranny felt like a pamphlet warning me of a bomb that was already mid-explosion, which is terrifying. The Emperor's Soul was solid. Syntactically simple, but philosophically enjoyable. It makes me curious how longer Sanderson books will be.
Was feeling adventurous today, so i made some onigiri for the first time. Super happy with how they turned out 😤
"And I never say no" We need to have a serious talk about the way "AI companion" apps not only prey on the vulnerable, but are priming their users to ignore consent and to conflate love with control. We need AI regulations across so many sectors, but this area is particularly horrifying.

I'm proud to join 280 state lawmakers in urging congress not to pass any AI preemption laws. As AI content become easier to create & spread, states will play an important role in curtailing the dangers. And we neither need nor want the federal government getting in the way of novel policy solutions
Missoula showed out for the No Kings protest today! So proud of my city! Photo credit: Sally Mauk,Montana Public Radio
Proud to have cast my vote for Daniel Carlino for Ward 3 in Missoula City Council! This is probably the most important race in the city, as it is between someone actually on the left (Carlino) and a landlord/house-flipper masquerading as a progressive so she can protect her landlord money (Savage)
As a trans woman who is proudly anti-fascist, I'm just wondering if Trump designating me a terrorist TWICE cancels out? Am I back to upstanding citizen? Or am I a SUPER DUPER terrorist?
I did some sword training at Missoula Ren Faire today. Now just don’t let the FBI see or they might label me a terrorist 🫠
So glad we've finally got a Ren Faire here in Missoula 😭 It was so much fun, and our kiddo even got to fight in an arena (with foam swords)
Day 21 of our Honeymoon: Erin & I watched the sunrise over the Mediterranean, then caught a 10-hour flight stateside. Now to start what we're jokingly calling our "Half-Moon." We'll be working from the road for a few weeks, traveling w/ our son for his summer break, visiting friends and family.
Day 20 of our honeymoon: @erininthemorning.com & I spent the last full day of our honeymoon in love & bliss. We got a couple's massage in the morning, napped, read, then visited Nice for a stroll. Then we closed off the night w/ dinner on a cliff face as fireworks went off over the Mediterranean.
Day 19 of our honeymoon: This was the quietest day yet. We went to a beach club & relaxed all day. Erin read her book (Stormlight Archives), and I "tanned" (an impossibly difficult task for my marshmallow self). We swam in the ocean a bit too, following around fish. Then, a quiet rooftop dinner.
Day 18 of our honeymoon: We drove from Cassis to Cannes, where we swam at a beach for a few hours before exploring town and grabbing the Frenchest dinner ever—escargot, fatty oysters, & dover sole. Also, Erin finally gave up on France's lack of spicy food and brought her own hot sauce to dinner 😅
Day 17 of our honeymoon: Today we hiked the calanques outside of Cassis, and omg that was the coolest experiences ever. A deeply challenging hike up & over some very Arizona/SoCal-type terrain, which led us to a deep inlet on the Mediterranean. We swam, tanned, and dove with some little fish 🐟
