We’re in a pleasant forest setting, with lots of greenery and the sun peeking through the canopy. We see tree houses made of natural materials on the trees.

Evithorir is described as an elven figure perpetually shrouded in shadows. Its face is pale gray, its skin is pulled tight against bone. Its teeth are crooked and elongated and its eyes glow.

In this scene it stands in front of a large glowing green crystal pillar, surrounded by black and greenish flames. Its body flows and disappears into the shadows. Its hands are lifted at its sides, casting more dark shadows.
Hidden and trapped inside its chest we can glimpse a reddish emaciated figure.

It's a crappy wet and grey day, and I didn't get to do the things I wanted, so here are some pics from a lovely autumn hike I went on last month. :)

In a thick autumnal forest a very clear stream gurgles away. A bunch of fallen orange leaves float on top of the blue water.

We peek at a waterfall below us, it's surrounded by many trees sporting fall foliage.

Post your favourite underrated art. Let's give'em more love This oldie. I liked the concept and learned a lot while painting. It's a complex piece with a lot of elements, and a lot of it will get missed from a phone screen. I still like it and I think I did a good job with my skills at the time. :)

It's night on the sea, everything is enveloped in a sinister blue/green mist. Countless shipwrecks apparently from different eras litter the water. There are ghosts on several of them; they are made of that same blue/green mist. We see a bizarre lighthouse in the middle of the ship graveyard, which seems composed of pieces from several different lighthouses, glitching into each other. The mist fills the lighthouse as well and cascades out of its windows. Two persons on a small boat are approaching the lighthouse. One of the persons on the boat is holding a compass which is giving off the same glitch effect as the lighthouse.

Big arches visible near the bottom of the walls suggested a lower level at some point. Then a small corridor led straight into a deep pit! Now filled with broken bottles and trash. The corridor was several meters above the bottles. Do you think it could have been a water cistern?

I happened upon a couple of interesting places lately. This first one was an old farm hamlet, apparently from the 1700s, which contained a church like structure. I wonder if it got incorporated in there from an older settlement. Pity to not have seen it years ago, it will soon be completely lost.

I've been slacking a lot both on hiking and on posting photos of it, but it's such a good recharging activity for me! Recently I went to see some pretty waterfalls following the course of a stream in the woods. :)

I've recently hiked to this gorgeous waterfall. Now, in my sweltering living room, I really miss the super cold air that came from it!

Using food to show where I grew up

Anolini, a type of filled pasta served in broth.

An appetizer called gnocco fritto, little fried pillows of dough, usually eaten with local cold cuts, pictured here are pancetta, coppa and salame, three cold cuts typical of my town.

Another type of filled pasta, tortelli filled with ricotta and spinach. These are usually served with butter and sage.
