I am sick and tired of queer candidates trying to weaponize their own identity to try and get a leg up against candidates with better queer policies. I don't even care that Siffert is a fellow enby in this case. Shut up with this superficial tripe, and put the goddamned policies in the bag.

ICE abducted a NYC Council employee. At this point, I'd be chill with Mamdani asking Hochul to bring in the national guard to maintain law and order... by expelling ICE from the city. Last resort protection from a tyrannical federal government is part of why the National Guard exists!

🧵 14/15 ...evidence suggesting that one of PLACE's current co-presidents, Yiatin Chu, supported Sam Lo being appointed to CEC D2. Now the evidence for that is fairly weak, but at the very least we can say that members of PLACE are comfortable asking for advice from a virulent racist.

🧵 1/15 So, some thrice failed wannabe local politician here in NYC is disingenuously weaponizing the LGBTQ+ community against the mayoral candidate with the best policy positions for our community. I want to take a moment to get some words out ahead of this in case anyone takes her seriously.

With permission of the mother of Onyx Cornish, my friends decided to host a vigil in honor of Onyx and Sammy, his beloved cat. We will be showing solidarity at 5 PM on the 21st of September at Stonewall National Monument. Flowers are encouraged; Red, pink, and black roses were Onyx's favorites.

CEC D2 meeting about halfway in. Maud, Allyson, and Charles just got up and left, denying quorum. They left because they didn't want to talk about their opposition to resolution 269. They oppose it out of transphobia. What a fuckin farce.
