I really enjoyed this book because the story was not what I was expecting! Yes it has a cute cat, and yes it gets lost… but there’s a twist! IDK if this features an unreliable narrator, but for sure the narrator can’t be trusted 😅. The art is gorgeous as well! #kidlit #cats #books

Perhaps fitting for Father’s Day… Sea Prayer is a beautiful and heartbreaking illustrated story of a father writing to his son. They have both fled from war in Syria. This is about as close to an adult picture book as I’ve seen, even though no one wants to describe it as such -
