Spotted this stylish critter this morning (but only just as they were very well hidden).

Some sculptures from Höllental. (Hölle is the merest village to The valley. Hölle means hell, and has a small village attached called Brand which means fire). I especially like the Devil’s hand almost in the shape of the chaos symbol.

First attempt at making a mask, a new little side project of mine to do something creative in addition to writing. I can't paint or draw, but I can stick stuff to stuff. Also, Lavondyss is one of my favourite books IYKYK.

Today we celebrate the 11th birthday of the wonderful @folklorethursday.bsky.social I love seeing folklore in modern contexts. This is the Wilder Mann from the Naila coat of arms here in Franconia, Germany, appearing in two different graffiti settings.

Especially when, for example, biker T-shirts like these were getting made - the line between the designs for both is transparent.

Today my son asked if I was really leaving the house in that t-shirt. (I walk with him to school on my morning amble.) I feel like I’ve unlocked a Dad achievement. (T-shirt tax in the photo)

I need a notebook for this edit (I normally just write on the file) so dig out this mahoosive beast I bought from Borders back in the day. Love these and wish I could still get them.

I have a rule. If I go in my local bookshop here in Franconia, Germany, and they have a book in English by someone I know, I buy it. That’s why, I finally own a paperback of @amalelmohtar.com and @maxgladstone.bsky.social’s classic. Full Moon Coffee Shop is a bonus buy, new to me & looks great
