this is truly so common. when I worked in magazines I was getting paid $34K and the owner gave herself a $250K Christmas bonus on top of her salary. that company eventually fell apart due to unpaid debts lol.

do you personally know anyone who is transgender? all adults, sept 2024: yes 40, no 60. all adults, may 2022: yes 44, no 55. the 2021 data isn't pictured but fwiw it was yes 42, no 58.

There's a LOT going on but here are a few of my favorite moments. The context is: her partner is getting top surgery today and she's being soooo normal and chill about it.

On the day of the surgery we drove to the hospital without talking. I squeezed his hand across the cup holders and privately wished that I had allowed my mother to fly out to be with me as she had offered.

I felt both relieved and guilty to pass for straight in that Starbucks. I wanted to blend in, to escape. The longer I sat there, the more I wanted to drive away and leave my partner.

I started with season one, episode one, the pilot, where we meet Carrie and her friends. For two weeks, my mind was held in a cradle of glamour, fantasy and easy sexuality. The sex on “Sex and the City” seemed as if it could have been on a show from Animal Planet or the Discovery Channel, and I watched with an anthropologist’s eye. Meanwhile, on the bed beside me slept the man I could no longer arouse by stimulating his nipples.

He cannot rent just any vehicle. It must be licensed through the city, which capped the number of for-hire vehicle licenses in 2018. More drivers are renting, and prices are high.

Many drivers rely on tips from passengers in the app, but he said they were rare.

“Out of 10 riders, maybe one tips,” he said.

Dunn is transgender and uses he/him pronouns. (start highlight) He first came out in a July 5, 2021, interview on the Gender Reveal podcast (end highlight) in which he said he had been exploring his gender and was probably non-binary. In January 2023, Dunn revealed via social media that he had changed his name to Gabriel.

The lawsuit also alleges that Venzon sent Goldsmith the cover art for the Lambda Literary award-winning zine 2 Trans 2 Furious, perhaps because he thought it was a meme.

“Just four days after plaintiff started, Venzon texted plaintiff an unsolicited meme captioned ‘2 Trans 2 Furious’ depicting a man transitioning into a car,” the suit states. "The meme purported to be from ‘An extremely serious journal of Transgender Street Racing Studies.’

Despite the lawsuit calling the zine a “meme,” the zine is real and won the aforementioned literary award.
