Fourth was The Boogey Man, which was super uncomfortable in some spots but otherwise an odd but enjoyable slasher. #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days
Had to stop to sleep for a 3 am Stray Kids show, but managed to knock out two more before tapping out. Third was Flesh for Frankenstein, a ShudderTV stumble upon that was unexpectedly funny, expectedly weird. #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days
Next is Nightborn, fresh on Shudder and sort of if Rosemary’s Baby was a happier ending. Also not dissimilar to the novel Trad Wife, which was interesting. #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days
First up is The Grudge 3, which I didn’t even know existed but which is very much giving Amityville Horror possession. The first 2 of these got me so bad when I was younger that making the croaking sound was a personal favorite form of torture for those close to me. #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days

You wouldn’t know it because I am also working and I am so so sleepy BUT I have been doing the @chattfilmfest.org thing this week and of course it’s great, but by way of the Red Eye Secret Screenings I have encountered Fatal Frame, which I am now morally obligated to own.
Listen the combination of some of my favorite people to ever do it winning the Stokers and reading Marion has revitalized my writing brain but it’s also important to share my most recent haul, I think. Debating to start one of continue through my nightly read of Monte Cristo as I’m 950 pages in.

Just finished Taste of Fear/Scream of Fear, a Hammer film that center’s disability, whips ass, and, while not perfect, is wonderfully twisty. I have some issues, but overall an incredible watch that is, weirdly, only on YouTube as far as I was able to find.
Spent last night catching up on Widow’s Bay and watching Vincent Price movies, ever fascinated by the way some of them are much more divisive than I realized, per Letterboxd, but also by his consistent portrayal of artists in general. Known for villains, but should be for artists (also).
This is repulsive in ways I could not have even imagined. Every 45 seconds I am audibly yelling “ugh” (complimentary)
My dedication to doing this on my couch on my phone during dessert would lead the masses to believe I’ve never before seen a radish. But c’est la vie.
It’s not as good but it was immediately made post film bc that thing is my son. Trevor’s right. Caveat fan art.

I continue to fight tooth and nail against the day job drain and trauma-related depression that seeks to sap me of my writing motivation. Over the last few weekends it’s been through a balance of reading and art.
