Someone on reddit also made a good point about why people think gay people are pushing it in their face. We are conditioned and trained to see queer people in a more sexualized angle even when a piece of media explores a straight person's sexuality just as thoroughly.
I'm not a fan of Bsky's moderation staff at all, but what even is the argument here? There's nothing special about reiterating dumb safe-edgy humor that immediately overstays it's welcome. Not only that but the people making these jokes would be the first to get offended if you said a slur.

I can't be bothered to care about the right and their so called need for "both sides" when they choose and select such a thing for certain topics. Gun rights, immigration, diversity are things you need to consider both sides of, but veganism? You're totally in free range to attack it all you want.
