Mouse control is pretty hard, and I've gone with roll to pitch for the defaults there and you can see my inputs from the dot in the reticule. You can also see factions at work (everyone hates pirates). If you have a ship manifest scanner you can see everything... #gamedev
Everything shown in the options/player screens is working. Pause and have a look. #gamedev
It's very important that you allow your NPCs to express their anger in an appropriate manner. (This is a solo dev game I am working on). #gamedev
That’s annoying. Could do with the money, any money, and after getting the monetization requirements done in 9 days out of 30 I have to wait until August? Meh.
My distraction project... Honestly, everything I try to do teaches me a new skill. I love this. #gamedev
Listen, I like my gaming media. I think we can see that (excuse the mess). For Sony to put out notice to users that movies they purchased will soon be 'removed from their account' and that they will be ceasing physical media production within a week is truly disappointing. I think it stinks.
Just posted this on LinkedIn, figured I would share it here. If you are wondering where your past and present sim racing fans are, here is where I found them so far after five days of posting the exact same content on each platform after not posting anything beforehand. (cont...)
I'm sure it wasn't really the lifetime of dedication, the training or even the natural skill that led him to win Le Mans twice. It was the couple of hours I sat next to him as a "coach" while working for iRacing. But seriously... Mega result. 👏
Someone bought my ultra-rare dual format copy of Drakkhen. Kinda sad to see that one go. Even had the figurine.
I'll try to get another progress video up soon, but here's a taste. #gamedev
The working wind sock should be a quick visual indicator to those with sharp eyes, especially during qualifications.
So I'm thinking this will be about the scale by default with an overhead view like this following selected car, but there's no reason I can't do chase and onboard cameras. The 3D will be low poly, obviously, with me trying to make the gameplay and simulation what really matters most.
A few trading posts and a city landing pad for the next game I am planning.
Hope you have plenty of disk space. #gamedev A few things to verify, clean up, etc. But feel free to wishlist: store.steampowered.com/app/4634590/...
I now have a 10 mission campaign system working. When you do it right, this is how you end up creating a whole mission.
Fixed a few queue_free() when scene switching to free() and boom... Without this benchmark feature I never would have known I should have been using free(). I noticed that each time it looped the fps was reaching lower numbers each time. I hadn't learned enough to think more on scene switching.
Every game should have one. This picks a random unit and sticks with them for 5mins, looping 360 degrees on the camera every 1min. I need to figure out what other info I can actually pull and show, but the code is done. #gamedev
Spent tonight cleaning things up that I have learned about, and adding water and dirt spray from the minigun.
Need to add some fade and adjust the timings, but I have a retry loop on mission failure now.
