Watched THE WALL (1983), a Turkish film by Yilmaz Güney. Devastating and brilliant. I've linked an excellent NYT review from 1986. A film worth seeking out, though the copy I watched had amateur subtitles which made viewing challenging but nevertheless worthwhile. www.nytimes.com/1986/06/20/m...
