Recently our CEO, Justina Murray, wrote to @andyburnham.bsky.social offering our warmest congratulations on becoming Prime Minister. We hope we can work together to help achieve our shared ambitions to improve the lives of children, young people and families and to end child poverty for good.
Thanks to our wonderful supporters the Aberlour Urgent Assistance Fund is there to support families in desperate need, when they have nowhere else to turn. #ThankYou
Did you know that in Scotland, every unaccompanied asylum-seeking young person is legally entitled to a Guardian? But what does a Guardian actually do? Our team break it down and explain how a Guardian for our young people is someone who is on their side and by their side.
Sometimes it’s the small moments that mean the most. Our team at Guardianship share some of their highlights of working with young asylum-seekers in Scotland.
Thank you to our staff and colleagues from partner organisations who took part in our annual Rainbow Rounders event last week. 🌈 Thank you to everyone who took part and a big congratulations to this year's winners: The Oonicorns from Ooni!
Today is the anniversary of the incorporation of the #UNCRC into Scots Law! Recently we encouraged children and young people to raise their voices and be heard by people in power at our Speak Up event, in partnership with @savechildrensco.bsky.social & @cpagscotland.bsky.social. Watch 👇
Young people supported by our Guardianship Scotland service, delivered in partnership with @scotrefugeecouncil.bsky.social, shared what it was like to vote for the first time. For many new people making Scotland their home voting is a way to feel part of their community and that they belong. #UNCRC

Andy shares one of his favourite memories from working at Guardianship Scotland -bringing young people together on the pitch. ⚽ For young people arriving in an unfamiliar place, playing football gives them the chance to have fun, make new friends and take their mind off their worries for a while.
Congratulations to all our Foundation Apprentices, who recently completed their qualification in Social Services (Children and Young People) with Aberlour Futures! 🏅 Here's some highlights from our recent awards ceremony in Aberdeen. Well done everyone, we can't wait to see what you'll achieve next!
Thank you so much to B&Q in Aberdeen for donating some amazing plants to their local Aberlour disability service. These lovely plants will brighten up our garden and bring joy to our children and young people. #ThankYou
Great to meet with Carol Mochan MSP today at The Scottish Parliament to discuss our work on tackling the public debt crisis to help end child poverty. #EndChildPoverty
Every year, hundreds of young people arrive in Scotland alone with no family, no familiar faces, and a complex asylum system to navigate. At Guardianship Scotland, we make sure they don't face it alone. Here are 5 things you probably didn't know about the asylum process in Scotland.
Happy Father's Day to all our team and families! From everyone at Aberlour, we hope you all have a lovely day 💙💚💛

#InternationalDayofFamilies is to celebrate families. Article 18 of UNCRC says, we must support all families, when & whenever they need it - just like the support we've given to Keira* and her family through our Urgent Assistance Fund, helping her buy the essentials her children desperately needed.
