Bridge from Buffalo 🌈 🖖

Rust Belt raised queer sewer socialist, evangelist for mutual aid networks. Organizer for Environmental and Climate Justice. Also a huge nerd, and literally blue-haired and non-binary. They/Them.
What ever happened to this project? NFTA booted most bus routes out from the transit station with the promise of this replacement structure, and all these years later riders are still left to freeze in winter and bake in the summer. www.buffalorising.com/2022/05/nfta...
She had to circle back to get the other side of the street
I just thought of such a great premise for a heist flick. Wonder if Boots Reily is on this platform.
Come on, it's absurd how pretty this ride is. Just missed the peregrine falcon flying along side at speed.
If we're OK with the use of the yellow painted "no traffic/no crossing" areas being used for parking, then we can totally park movable planters in these areas as well! 2/2
Do I get extra points for both being blocked and blocking?
Buffalo, esp West Side - ICE dropped off a blind refugee from Myanmar, Nurul Amin, who does not speak English at the Tim Hortons on Niagara on Thursday. He is missing. Keep an eye out, and call the numbers on the flyer if you find him. Just boosting, deets at link. www.facebook.com/share/p/18bH...
I actually do think that uniform codes and public presentation of law enforcement influences how fashy a nation is, but, uh, ICE officers masked up just scratches the surface of this problem. Introduce a bill requiring hypervisiblity for any law enforcement equipment purchased with federal funds.
Same photos as above, but with outlines of where the curb ends and the sneckdown begins.
2026 Buffalo Sneckdown challenge - what are your favorite examples of intersections where the snow piles have revealed how overbuilt they are for cars, and how bumpouts or other pedestrian treatments would improve safety? Pictured are examples on Virginia and Edward streets on the LWS.
There's been some brohaha about 185 Grant being purchased by a self-storage company, and I do hope the owners split the first floor to put something customer-facing in the front, but it's worth noting that the building literally has a huge ghost sign from when it previously housed a storage company.
Between this and the NESE water permit approval, Hochul has just fully gone to war with the environmental and climate justice communities. These permits were both DENIED previously. UNDER HER LEADERSHIP.
Texting STOP or clicking unsubscribe in response to DNC spam is for cowards.
The Fibber Nazi Sequence (cannot claim credit for the brilliant caption)
Oh, you say you want a masc-coded populist progressive candidate who served in the military, owns guns, is unapologetically supportive of queer and trans kids, is a union guy, etc?
Ha - coincidentally, check out this street art I just stumbled across in Allentown.
Goodbye, my dear sweet prince. I'm afraid our paths shan't cross again for an age. 😭😭😭 (I'll be back in two weeks for FanExpo.)
See NYISO Power Trends 2025 pages 8-9 - this is the current trajectory for NY's energy future without advocacy and organizing to demand better. www.nyiso.com/power-trends Three slides to fit all the alt text.
The NY energy/enviroment/climate sphere has to direct some of our ire at NYISO. These unwashed asses rubber stamp massive power allocations for data centers while pushing to repower retired fossil fuel power plants. Pgs 8-9 www.nyiso.com/documents/20... Table IV-7 www.nyiso.com/documents/20...
This might be the single worst example of bike parking racks I have ever seen.
Ah yes, the 8th Congressional District, famously not a part of NYC. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Yor...
