Kafka and Montaige playing as I try to fold laundry (no cats were harmed and no laundry actually got folded bc cuuutttee)
Hey kind humans, If any of you use Storygraph, I'd love to follow eachother (and hear all about your recent reads and TBR!). My Storygraph handle is, fittingly, @ada_loves_books Excited to be book nerds together ❤️ ✨️
Linocut adventures ✨️🥰 These are my test prints. Gonna try gold ink on black cardstock
Still very much an amateur but enjoying making silly little prints nonetheless.
Teaching myself lithograph printmaking and here is my rough draft of my dear Kafka cat (my housecat) as a lucky cat ❤️
I am two months into the knowing and hrt is hecking magical. I did not know I could be *this present* in my own life. I am reconnecting with myself and others. I am giggling again. So, to echo, "either way, you'll know"
Getting needed medication infusion for an autoimmune disease, a monthly process which keeps my immune system from destroying my body (not to be dramatic, but that is the case). Lots of people are dealing with disabilities and illnesses that aren't apparent. Please be gentle with eachother ❤️
Today's walk friends are (in pics 1 and 2) a Eastern Carpenter Bee and, (in pics 3 and 4), an East African Lowland Honeybee.
Today's walk friends are an owl (possibly a barred owl? This was the best pic I have been able to get. He is camera shy), and a Common Eastern Bumble Bee, and Kafka cat (post walk, investigating the hollow Joe Pye Weed i am trying to establish)
Today's walk friends are a very dapper Great Blue Heron, a regal Monarch on a dandelion, and a yellow-Bellied slider (who i an sure is very brave, despite the moniker).
Today's walk friends are a small carpenter bee (that's its name, but also my fingertip in second pic for size comparison--he is sooo smol) and a Common Buckeye (also its name; you're gorgeous lil buddy ✨️).
Today's walk friends are a Pearl Cresecent, an Eastern Carpenter Bee, and Carolina Horsenettle. Handsome, handsome friends ✨️❤️
Today's walk friends are Black Vultures and a Texas Indian Paintbrush. Fun fact: if you call Black Vultures "handsome little sirs," about half the time they give you a little nod. 10/10, adorable.
Today's walk friends! The milkshake (Hairy Vetch) brings all the boys (pollinators) to the yard (side of the creek). We have a Cresecent (Pearl, I think?), an Eastern Carpenter Bee, a Common Tan Wave and an American Bumblebee. Handsome pollinator friends 🥰
Today's walk friends are [to my fallible id] a yellow thistle and a Springwater Dancer. Handsome new friends 🥰✨️
Today's other walk friends are Virginia Spiderwort and a grisette mushroom ✨️ A handsome flower and fungi ❤️
