Ah, managed to clip Lyly’s last night: usually I get eight claws done before she decides to turn the whole thing into a wrestling match (with teeth) but because she’d blunted a couple on the sofa/scratching post we were finished before we reached that point, which seemed to surprise her somewhat.

Did you know that there’s an episode of the tv series Sir Francis Drake (1962) where Shakespeare performs Taming Of The Shrew aboard the Golden Hinde in front of Drake & the Queen? (Here, the play is “The Unruly Wife” but in a later scene the Queen comes up with a much better title!)
