@jim.londoncentric.media Fun to see an actual *official* Harry Potter shop is opening soon on Oxford Street. I strongly suspect that they will be paying their taxes.
Nice to get a look at the settings of the Sony mirrorless cameras they're using for some of the crowd shots in this World Cup. F2 .5 1/250 ISP 2000. #WorldCup
One of the things about bringing photo-ID to a polling station is that you might accidentally leave it there. I found a passport in the booth in my polling station. Handed it in to the staff and hopefully it will get back to the owner. As they said, "We literally have his name and address..."

I've got around to examining the latest @edisonresearch.bsky.social podcast rankings for the UK, and in particular, tracking them over time. Over on my blog there's a handy interactive chart showing how the Top 25 titles have performed over time. www.adambowie.com/blog/2025/09...
I am overly fascinated by the state of sports TV rights in general, and specifically in the UK. At the start of the football season, I've taken a quick look at which channels have what sports, and the streamers in particular. It's mostly from a UK perspective: www.adambowie.com/blog/2025/08...
Who is buying these things? Is this what the publishing industry has come to? (And yes, that *is* a Taylor Swift "activity book" just behind, alongside the BTS bookazine)
There's new data from @edisonresearch.bsky.social with the Top 25 UK podcasts for Q1 2025. As ever, I've been digging into it a bit: www.adambowie.com/blog/2025/05... Look for more UK podcast research released in the coming days #PodcastShow2025

Good to know that a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, party speakers were very much the thing. Lots of bass, flashing lights and no Bluetooth cutting out. They also fly! @reckless.bsky.social @davidpierce.xyz #andor #vergecast
At the Hildur Guðnadóttir concert at the Southbank Centre and *very* excited to hear she's composing the soundtrack for #28YearsLater! #LondonSoundtrackFestival

Taking a look at the new @edisonresearch.bsky.social Top 25 Podcasts in the UK for Q4 2024. It's unchanged at the top, but lots of news titles did well in the quarter. Read more over on my blog including some trend data: www.adambowie.com/blog/2025/02...
From a great piece by Benedict Evans on AI Deep Research. Yes. 100% Yes. www.ben-evans.com/benedictevan...
Just in case anyone was uncertain that those shallow depth of field cameras behind the tryline in ITV's coverage of England/France were Sonys, I think this is a big clue 🤣

I will miss David Lynch, whose work has been with me throughout my life. www.adambowie.com/blog/2025/01...
Just a thought. If you're managing multiple brands' email marketing, you might want to spend just a small amount of time personalising the unsubscribe functionality to at least make the consumer feel that they're missing out on something.
One final post on this subject from me this year. For those of you not watching wall to wall football on Prime Video or streaming Squid Games on Netflix, here are some other choices to wipe away the tears from Gavin & Stacey: www.adambowie.com/blog/2024/12...
Merry Christmas all! Here are my viewing and listening choices for the festive day itself... www.adambowie.com/blog/2024/12...
